All prices include breakfast buffet and all taxes and are applicable to up to four days before start and a further night beyond finals night if needed.
The room bookings shall be made via the Championship Administrator Brian Kahengombe up to the 30th June 2014. Please complete and email the Hotel Booking Form to Brian.
The guarantee of accommodation is provided only for reservations made by the indicated deadline of 30th June 2014. The organisers stipulate that rooms may not be available if bookings are made after this deadline.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations received within a week of arrival will attract a 50% charge up to 48 hours before and any later cancellations will attract a 100% charge.
Only rooms booked via Brian will obtain the special discounted rates listed above.
ANTI-DOPING: 1. The Host Nation will implement compulsory anti-doping tests for any players participating in the World Championship on behalf of the WSF.
2. There shall be no doping before or during play in any competition under WSF Rules.
3. Any player refusing to undergo doping control and any player found guilty of a doping infraction will be dealt with by the WSF, which shall take disciplinary action in accordance with its constitution/regulations.
CHAMPIONSHIPOFFICE: A Championship Office will be situated at both Wanderers Sports Club and
at the University of Namibia (UNAM) and will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. from 9 August.
CLOTHING ATFUNCTIONS: To ensure a professional squash image all Individuals and any
accompanying officials must wear the following clothing at each of the functions where attendance is mandatory:
Opening Ceremony: National Tracksuit Closing Ceremony: Formal Team Uniform
CLOTHING REG - TV /STREAMING: In order for squash to be well presented on television and when streamed it
is essential that the two players wear different colours and that if they change shirts during matches they keep to the colour they had on before. So two colours must be brought to championships. Here is the full World Championship Regulation L4.
For any match covered by television, players’ clothing shall conform to the advertising regulations published and generally applied by the appropriate television authority of the Host Country; and both players must wear distinctly different coloured clothing – the colour must not change during a match. (Where colours are similar, the lower placed individual/team on the draw sheet must change colour).
ELIGIBILITY: Age requirements are defined as Under-19 years of age as at the final scheduled day of the Championship event i.e. born on or after 16 August 1995 (Individual Championship) and on or after 22 August 1995 (Men’s World Junior Team Championship). All players will be required to present their passports to the WSF on-site Technical Director to confirm eligibility before being permitted to compete. This can be done at any time during 10th August at the Championship Office.
All players must be eligible to represent a Full Member Nation of the WSF and have an activated SPIN Registration.
ENTRIES: No entry will be accepted unless it is made online via the respective National Association.
Entries must be made online by Monday 30th June (12 noon, GMT). No late entries will be accepted.
The Entry Fee is 800 Namibian Dollars (approx 75 US Dollars), which must be paid in cash on arrival. This fee is not payable for the four men’s squad players of competing teams as it is included in the team entry fee.
ENTRY NUMBER: WSF World Championship Regulations X4 & X5 extract:
Men’s (Regulation X4 ):There will be a maximum of 6 players from an MNA entering the Team event; and a maximum of 2 players from an MNA not entering the Team event.
Women’s (Regulation X5) There will be a maximum of 5 players.
EVENTS: The events shall be played under the current WSF Rules of the Game and the WSF World Championship Regulations.
For the individual events the top 8 women players will be required to play off to decide positions 1 to 8 in the Main Draw, whereas the men will not do so.
WSF Regulations stipulate that there are play-offs where there is no following team event (women) and not where there is one (men).
Plate events will be held as follows to offer all players a minimum of three matches whenever possible:• Plate: For First Round losers in the Main Draw• Classic Plate: For Second Round losers in the Main Draw• Consolation Plate: For First Round losers in the Plate
All players will be entered automatically in the different Plates unless they advise the Championship Office immediately after losing their matches that they do not wish to participate. Any player who does not withdraw within 2 hours of losing and fails to arrive to participate in the Plate, excepting for medical reasons, may be subject to disciplinary action.
EYEWEAR: All participants in World Junior events and players aged under-19 in other WSF Championships are required to wear WSF Certified protective eyewear throughout the Championship in accordance with the following World Championship Regulation:
MNFs through their Team Managers must ensure that all their Doubles and Junior players (under 19 years of age) wear protective eyewear (manufactured to an approved national safety standard) properly over the eyes at all times during practice and match play. It is the responsibility of the individual player to ensure that the quality of the product worn is satisfactory for the purpose. FLAG/ANTHEM: Each competing nation is required to bring a standard sized national flag and their national anthem on CD for use during the Championship.
FUNCTIONS: There will be functions held during the Championship. Full details will be supplied in the Championship Manual.
INSURANCE: All players, officials and teams must cover their own personal insurance. Competitors enter and play in the Championship at their own risk. Neither the WSF, the Host Nation, the Organisers nor the host venues accept any responsibility for injury arising from participation in the Championship.
OFFICIAL BALL: The Dunlop Pro Championship Ball will be used for all matches.
PRACTICE COURTS: Courts for practice (free of charge) are available from Thursday 7th August. The schedule for the practice times will be available at the Championship Offices.
REGISTRATION: Registrations will take place at the hotel. On arrival at the hotel, check in at the Championship / Registration Office where players will get their registration and player packs.
TEAM SUBMISSION: The deadline for squad submissions for the Men’s World Junior Team event
will be 25 July.
TICKETS: All players and guests will be offered free entry to watch the matches, although places around the centre court may be limited. Each player will also be entitled to a guest pass for any session in which they are competing (to their match court). Tickets will be sold for semi-finals and finals.
TRANSPORT: The Organisers will provide transport between Windhoek International Airport and the hotel and following the event from the hotel to the Windhoek International Airport.A regular shuttle service (hotel/venue/hotel) will be provided from 7th
August. Transport for practice arrangements prior to 7th August must be requested in advance and are subject to availability.
TROPHIES: The WSF Trophies and medals will be awarded in the Championship and Plate events. No prize money is awarded in any WSF Junior event.

VISAS: Overseas players and officials may require a visa to enter Namibia. It is every nation’s responsibility to ensure visas for their entire delegation are applied for and received in adequate time.
