What is a Suffix?: a letter or group of letters added at the end of a word to make a new word:The suffix "-ness" added to the end of the word "sweet"  forms the word "sweetness", changing an adjective  into a noun.

Today you are looking at the two suffixes –ment and –ness.

Can you list any words that have the suffix –ment or –ness on the end?

Task:Play matching pairs with root words and –ment or –ness suffix. Draw a line between the two tables.

When a pair is found, use the new noun in a written sentence.
