Artifact 2:This Passport belonged to

Victoria’s father. On it, she wrote,

“Victoria Confino came in

this country August 19 the year 1913 the ship was the

Martha Washington.”

taken soon after the Confinos arrived in

America. They moved to and

settled in New York City, New York and lived on 97 Orchard St

*Victoria is the girl on the far right. She was 9 years old.

*Her brothers from left to right: Jacob, Saul, David. (Victoria would later have two more siblings named Salvatore and Esther.)
