“But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed” (Luke 5:16).In chapter 5 of the Book of Luke, we read about Jesus healing a leper, someone whose disease caused him to be excluded from his community. As word spread about the leper’s healing, crowds gathered and surrounded Jesus, all longing to hear His words and be healed. After ministering to the people, Jesus withdrew to a lonely place to pray, something He often did. It was during this time alone with the Father that He was strengthened and encouraged.Over the course of this last year and the global pandemic, many of us have experienced lonely places in our lives. In the same way that Christ drew strengthfrom His time spent in prayer in the lonely places, we too can draw strength and encouragement from the Lord as we spend time in prayer in our lonely places.Thank you for your ongoing faithfulness in praying over the needs of FEBC and partnering with us to bring the healing words of Jesus Christ to the nations.Until all have heard,

Edward W. CannonPresident and CEO
