FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. In regards to emails, some are not getting the original email because they might not be in the distribution list. They are concerned that not all administrators have an updated distribution list and the new teachers might not be there. They are worried about not turning in required documents. Please provide me a list of those not receiving emails so we can add them. Required weekly documents need to submitted to your department administrator. I will ask administrators to send you a confirmation that they received it. English Department can send their files the strand leaders and/or department chair to upload to me [email protected].
2. Some clubs issued out CTSO blazers for competition and presentations. Normally, the students turn it in and we send it to the cleaners. Can we set a date for the students to turn in the blazers to the school and we can arrange for the cleaners to pick them up? Yes, students will need to clear at the end of the year. The sooner the better. Send Mr. Galarza and Mrs. Adriana Leal you plan to collect and clear students. It can only be curbside drop off or drive thru. Students cannot exit cars. Employees have to wear a mask and gloves and no minors may accompany employees.
3. Students in clubs owe money and teachers are worried for the end of the year CTSO financial report to Mindy. If there is money missing, the teachers would have to cover it, so what would be the recommendation? Similar to the response for #2. Work with your department administrator and CPO. EOY clearance is expected and letting students know they have not cleared. My guess is that bookkeeper will be returning as well soon. Mr. Galarza needs to come up with a plan that is agreed upon within the department to collect monies.
a. CTSO money covers the loss? No, not that I know of. Students that are not cleared will not be approached by office/ administration of the importance of returning all items that were owed or checked out.
b. Students drop off the money? Yes, if that is what Mr. Galarza and CPO planed.
