Music Table Top Military Drill Drumming Historically, the drum was used to convey orders during a battle, now it is mainly used for ceremonial purposes. I’m sure you will have seen some military drummers on the television. For this task you will need a flat surface to play the drums on with your hands.First you can practise tapping your right hand then left and keep this going. This will help with coordination. Right then left then right then left etc.We will be using 4 different rhythms They look like this. BEAT QUAVER SEMIQUAVER REST To help us play we will use the word underneath. We can also look at how many notes are in the rhythm to see how many taps there should be. We don’t play when we see a rest.If we can say the words whilst playing them we will get the rhythm.Have a go at the military style rhythm below.
