Team Overview The DataNavigator team is implementing and supporting a new system called DataNavigator (DN). This system will replace our current aging COBOL batch systems. DN is a product from FIS which will provide real time reporting of all card based transactions - ATM, EFTPOS and Internet generated. It will also process daily settlement with other financial institutions, merchants and card holders each night. The system will go live later this year and process approximately 10 million transactions per day. It has both a mainframe component and a mid-range reporting GUI. This is a major transformational project for the bank so will expose the intern to both new and old technologies as well as working with the business to leverage process improvements that the new system can support.
