Team Overview The Tiger Team is a new concept in the bank where we are taking Interns and Grads to make them ready to work in the organisation.Successful candidates will join the team and be trained to use different technologies at NAB, whilst completing outcome-based projects for teams in the organisation that require a new tool or service.

Such outcome-based projects could include: a new website for a team, or a new process flow for a team.The projects will be processed into production to show the teams how it all works. Working in the cloud will be taught in the role as well as the opportunity to become AWS certified (for free!).

Team Overview We manage the technology associated with NAB merchants, NAB ATMs and all of HICAPS. We enable organsiations that have NAB merchant terminals in their outlets, or who use us as the ecommerce payment provider. We process over 10 million transactions a day to ensure our merchants and card holders get the service they expect. We also run the HICAPS service and the back-end processing for NAB ATMs. Our customers are the likes of Chemist Warehouse,Nike, BP, Movember, Big Issue...and about 90,000 others!

Duties and Responsibilities of role:

1) Work in our Engagement and Shaping squad: Here we prioritise, shape and estimate the work arriving in our team. We have hundreds of pieces of work on the go at once, so its high paced and varied work. You will meet many stakeholders and be involved in determining what work gets started. You will also assist with our Jira enablement, agile ceremonies and team measurement.2) Depending on your role we will place you in one of our engineering squads.You may end up helping us to develop functionality for our new HICAPS

terminals, or perhaps you will join our recently launched Microservices squad. Or our implementation of a new eCommerce gateway may need yourskills. We need BAs, testers and engineers.

Team Overview Cards Technology team looks after the software applications that supports the NAB issuing credit cards. We developed in-house applications and maintain vendor supplied products as well. Technologies include both Mainframe and Cloud based applications/microservices written in Java, Coboland EasyTrieve.

Duties and Responsibilities of role:

Application Development: Mostly cloud based microservices with Java on AWS platform Testing Manual testing and writing automated tests DevOps work Integration and Deployment Source code management Software maintenance and application support Provide support, identify issues and develop break-fixes for both

mainframe and cloud based applications Liaise with vendors for support related matters and organise

problem and incident resolutions

Team Overview The DataNavigator team is implementing and supporting a new system called DataNavigator (DN). This system will replace our current aging COBOL batch systems. DN is a product from FIS which will provide real time reporting of all card based transactions - ATM, EFTPOS and Internet generated. It will also process daily settlement with other financial institutions, merchants and card holders each night. The system will go live later this year and process approximately 10 million transactions per day. It has both a mainframe component and a mid-range reporting GUI. This is a major transformational project for the bank so will expose the intern to both new and old technologies as well as working with the business to leverage process improvements that the new system can support. The prime focus of the role will be to assist in supporting the mid-range Graphical User Interface (GUI), which runs on Websphere servers. They may also assist with support andconfiguration of the mainframe component should the need arise and the

interest be there. The DN team is quite small, numbering seven and highly motivated.

Team Overview The Supplier Billing ICW team exists to provide business, financial governance and support for Infrastructure, Cloud & Workplace Services. This role is designed to support the management team’s monthly tracking and approval of volumes of IT services. Identify and implement best practices in the management of ordering and billing for Infrastructure, Cloud & Workplace Services. Assist in providing recommendations and options to the ServiceOwners and Senior Managers.

Duties and Responsibilities of role:

Support the delivery of process automation across various activities; in this process, students will be provided guidance by team members to undertake extensive data analysis around multiple reports. In most cases, students will come in with basic excel skillset so we’ll provide training around commonly used excel functions that would help drive the desired outcomes. Students will be faced with regularchallenges where they are presented with some key challenges around the data manipulation required to achieve the desired

outcomes, we encourage students to continue learning both through internal and external resources. (Suggested processes: Infrastructure vendors project certificate processes, ICW Project re-charge processes and Cloud dashboard simplification).

Support the collaboration between Supplier Billing and Cloud stakeholders; in this process, students will be provided guidance by team members to undertake data and trend analysis work. This work will be focused on identifying unexpected increase in cost amongst tenants and increase costs in untagged instances, then feed this information through to our consultants to drive future discussions together with HIP / wider Cloud tenants to reduce excess usage. This will involve learning how to read trends & movements from various data sources; problem solving skills, knowledge about Cloud technology and financial drivers will be regularly challenged for student’s involvement in this activity.

Meeting minutes and tracking action items; students will be invited to regular meetings with both internal and external stakeholders where agreed decisions and action items are noted to track progress of on-going discussions. Students will be encouraged to bring awareness for the agreed action items after these meetings and sometimes do follow up emails to get an update. In most cases, we’ll guide students to better understand the structure of these discussions and uplift their knowledge about some particular issues / initiatives that we’re working on.

Team Overview Manage Platform for Enterprise Metadata and Data Governance, this includes AXON, EDC, BDQ products from Informatica. Scope covers infrastructure, Software, Foundation patterns / Design, L3 Support for consumers, enablingother teams to adapt and use tools to manage metadata.

Duties and Responsibilities of role:

Interpret Functional Requirements for Metadata Standards, Data Governance

Build patterns with in tools to meet above requirement Industrialise and roll out of developed patterns for common

consumption, which require demo's, roadshows, communication and documentation

Patches and upgrade of software for AXON, EDC, BDQ Regression test and technical validation Build proof points to interrogate and integrate these tools

using available restful API's

Team Overview The team builds core services/API capabilities for the Digital forms platform and develops various integration patterns to interface with several downstream systems.

Duties and Responsibilities of role:

The role would sit within Forms Services, Digital Forms and work in parts of business initiatives and deliver projects in the forms target stateplatform. The role presents with opportunities to work in latest cloud and build technologies including AWS, docker, reactjs, nodejs etc.

Develop and support various systems and applications (form.io APIs, formIo Manager, Microservices, form components)

High quality of unit and functional tests (90-100% code coverage via sonarqube)

Designing and providing technical specifications of solutions, diagnosing problems

Provide development and operation support across the new forms platform

Contribute to the various agile rituals (e.g. stand-up, card kick-offs, walkthroughs, and showcases)

Develop a quality and maintainable code base which will be unit tested against acceptance criteria

Uplift the new forms platform code quality and capability Be mindful of non-functional considerations such as security,
