Dear Applicant,
Thank you for your interest in the research activities of our Social Brain Lab. We receive many
internship requests from brilliant applicants, and we will be glad to consider yours. Note that we
aim at providing excellent tutoring to our internship students. This requires an individualized
approach to supervision, time and dedication. This means that we regretfully have to reject the
majority of applicants. In line with NWO Talent grants, we also make certain requirements on
grades and minimum stay, to select applicants with high aptitude for academia and research,
willing to spend sufficient time in the lab.
Who Can Apply
Students with
An overall average Dutch grade of the bachelor study of 7,5 or better (or a GPA equal to
this grade)
The overall average Dutch grade of master studies of 8,0 or better (or equivalent GPA)
The aim to stay in the lab for 6 months of more, with availability to work off hours and
weekends if the research project requires this.
Once you have filled in all the fields in the next page, please send us a .pdf version of the
document at [email protected], together with your CV and a breakdown of the grades you
have received so far in your academic degree program. All documents must be submitted in
English. We will forward your information to the lab members, which will contact you within 14
days if suitable positions are available. No contact within this period means that no internship
positions are available at that time.
Best regards,
Julen Hernandez Lallement, on behalf of the Social Brain Lab
