Hope needs to do (John 10:22-26) Then came the Feast of Dedication at Jerusalem. It was winter, 23 and Jesus was in the temple area walking in Solomon's Colonnade. 24 The Jews gathered around him, saying, "How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Christ, tell us plainly." 25 Jesus answered, "I did tell you, but you do not believe. The miracles I do in my Father's name speak for me, 26 but you do not believe because you are not my sheep. And last week, we learned from the words of Jesus that Hope then needs to Listen. (John 10:27-39) 27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all ; no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand. 30 I and the Father are one." 31 Again the Jews picked up stones to stone him, 32 but Jesus said to them, "I have shown you many great miracles from the Father. For which of these do you stone me?" 33 "We are not stoning you for any of these," replied the Jews, "but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God." 34 Jesus answered them, "Is it not written in your Law, 'I have said you are gods' ? 35 If he called them 'gods,' to whom the word of God came-and the Scripture cannot be broken - 36 what about the one whom the Father set apart as his very own and sent into the world? Why then do you accuse me of blasphemy because I said, 'I am God's Son'? 37 Do not believe me unless I do what my Father does. 38 But if I do it, even though you do not believe me, believe the miracles, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father." 39 Again they tried to seize him, but he escaped their grasp. 1. Hope needs to do(John 10:22-26) Then came the Feast of Dedication at Jerusalem.

1. You can tell a t___________ believer because they d_________ what the F___________________ does.

(v.37) Do not believe me unless I do what my Father does.

Jesus is both G_____________ and m__________. He is the G_________________.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. (John 1:1)

And that Word "…became flesh and made his dwelling among us," (John 1:14).

(Colossians 2:9) For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form.

(John 10:31-33) 31 Again the Jews picked up stones to stone him, 32 but Jesus said to them, "I have shown you many great miracles from the Father. For which of these do you stone me?" 33 "We are not stoning you for any of these," replied the Jews, "but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God."

(John 5:16-20) …the Jews persecuted him. 17 Jesus said to them, "My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I, too, am working." 18 For this reason the Jews tried all the harder to kill him; not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God.

(Philippians 2:7) “…he made Himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.”

(Galatians 4:4) But when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under law, 5 to redeem those under law

(Philippians 2:8) And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death — even death on a cross!”

(John 14:9-14) Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'? 10 Don't you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you are not just my own. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. 11 Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves. 12 I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. Everything Jesus did, He did in 3 dimensions… He had 3 relationships that He focused on, and all the activity of His life was in those 3 areas.

(John 10:14-17) 14 "I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me— 15 just as the Father knows me and I know the Father (GOD) — and I lay down my life for the sheep (ISRAEL). 16 I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also (GENTILES). They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd.

(John 15:15-16) 15 I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. 16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit — fruit that will last. What you hear Jesus saying to you.

Let me show you another triangle… here the UP IN & OUT take on added significance.

Now, here’s the fantastic part,

(John 14:19-24) 19 Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. 20 On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. 21 Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him….. 23 If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.

Here’s another diagram, most of you are familiar with this circle… I call it MyLife Network.

MyLife Network, embraced and lived right, represents visually, what a believers life looks, and acts like, in the normalcy of every day. In fact, the people in your Life Network will not believe we have found Hope in Christ unless or until we are doing what our heavenly Father does.

(v.37) Do not believe me unless I do what my Father does.
