Evaluation In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products? My media product use and challenges the forms and conventions of real media products by the way I developed my photographs for example I used a mosaic effect to develop a photograph and I think this challenges the forms and conventions of real media products because a mosaic effect has never been used before and it’s different How does your media product represent a particular social group? My media product represents a hip-hop and R&B teenager social group; this is represented by the age of the artist on the front cover and how she talks about music. It is also represented by what is inside the magazine for example gig dates this could represent a particular social group as it reflects that teens might want to know gig dates if they want to follow a particular band in concert. There are also competitions and questions on twitter asked by fans, which represent the younger generation more as they are more known to social networking. The contents also show that inside are the latest R&B songs, which would catch the interest of teenagers while older groups might prefer to listen to the golden oldies What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why? I think the media institution that could be interested in distributing my media product is Bauer media because they connect and engage with 19 million viewers each week and my magazine could help them connect with teenagers. The company’s strategy is to connect audiences with excellent content and to connect with teenagers they could look into music magazines which is what I have made which is another reason why they might distribute my magazine.

How did you attract/address your audience? I attracted my audience with the name of my magazine, which was livewire I chose this name because I thought it addressed teenagers that listened to and appreciated music I also chose this name as I thought it linked to headphones and someone dancing to music. I also addressed my audience by what was inside my magazine for example inside my magazine I didn’t have recipes, healthy diets or what can you do to keep fit? Pages in my magazine which would probably appeal more to the older generation
