Convention Prayer requests for May 11: Today is Mother’s Day. Please pray for Mum’s in particular, but also for all women, that they will have the godly wisdom, maturity and fortitude to help shape our homes and communities to be places of protection, nurture and growth for all.
Prayer Requests: Eric Ross, Elizabeth Vardigans, Carla Hirtle, Vivian Rafuse, Gertrude Veinot, Margaret Spidle, Ryan Veinot, Edna Grimm, Iris Rafuse, Barb Demone.
Key/Memory Verse: He replied, "My mother and brothers are those who hear God's word and put it into practice."
ANNOUNCEMENTS AND COMING ACTIVITIES
May 12 7:30 pm WI meeting at the Hall. There will be a baby shower for Connie following the meeting - everyone welcome.
May 14 7pm Choir practice at the Church.
May 15 6 pm Cemetery clean-up - bring rakes, etc., - many hands make light work.
May 19 7:30 pm Hall meeting at the hall
May 20 1:30 pm Museum meeting at the museum.
June 1 4 pm Induction service for Pastor Joe Green at Aenon Baptist Church in Chester Basin, NS. There will be a fellowship potluck to follow so it is very important to RSVP if you plan on attending. You can leave a message at the church (275-3024) or email me at [email protected]. I look forward to seeing you!
June 8 11 am Rural Life Service at the Barss Corner Baptist Church. Note: There will be no service in Parkdale on this date.
Ladies "Low-Key" Walking Group: Fridays from 2-3pm. Meet at the Chelsea Road (off the Old Barss Corner Road) and park by the bridge. Call Connie if you have any questions (644-1013)
Thank you: The family of the late Alonzo Rhodenizer wish to thank all those who sent cards, memoriams, food to the home, visits and any other act of kindness during the death of our brother. Special thanks to Pastor Sam and the choir for a job well done.
