I am pleased to present to you the parish’s search team for an associate pastor.

Among them you will find members who have helped further the congregation’s mission through their service on council. Council members regularly navigate aspects of our ministry that the rest of us never see. They have a “big picture view” of our congregation’s needs and have a unique perspective on how those needs can best be met by pastoral leadership. !Other members have been actively involved in the transition team. The transition team provides a bridge between where we have been and where we are going. They bring with them the dreams and desires of a church who has enjoyed a very effective and mutually respectful pastoral team. They have a unique understanding of the qualities and attributes needed to ensure that another effective and mutually respectful pastoral team comes into fruition. !There are members at large who have served in a myriad of capacities. They have been intimately involved in some of the most expansive and critical ministries of this parish. They have a breadth of knowledge and experience that is critical as we search for a pastor who will equip and empower a dynamic lay led ministry. !You are invited and encouraged to have regular conversation with members of the search team. Share your hopes, your dreams, your fears and reservations. All voices are important to us and we cannot know your desires unless you articulate them. Pray for this team regularly and pray for our church as we move faithfully through this adventure together. !Pastor Philip

Search Committee !

Search Committee Membership

In view of Pastor Gary’s retirement on November 1, 2014, the Parish Council voted to establish a Search Committee for the purpose of working through the power of the Holy Spirit to discern a primary candidate for associate pastor at Trinity Ecumenical Parish.

Based on a recommendation of the Transition Team, the Parish Council adopted a Search Committee selection process designed to faithfully represent our diversity. In accordance with the Covenant Agreement and Bylaws, members of each constituent congregation are represented equally—three members from each congregation along with Pastor Philip serving ex officio.

A team comprised of Pastor Philip and the President & Vice President of the Parish Council screened potential committee members to ensure a reasonable and fair mix of gender, experience on ministry teams & groups, theological views and various lengths of time in the life and ministry of the parish. They also ensured that search team members are willing and able to serve for an extended period of time and to attend a demanding schedule of meetings. The search team include members of the Parish Council, the Transition Team, and the three congregations at-large.
