Purpose The purpose of the Group Capstone Clinical Integration Project for Quality Improvement is to identify and analyze a nursing or patient care concern, issue or challenge experienced during the clinical practicum in relation to one or more QSEN competencies and the implications for nursing practice. Methods . Students working collaboratively in groups will identify a critical health care safety concern. Using an agreed upon case exemplar the students will use one or more of the QSEN competencies and determine the nursing implications regarding nursing practice, education, and research. The group will demonstrate collaboration and submit a final paper and team presentation. General Guidelines o This is a group project that includes a written report or a professionally prepared PowerPoint. Refer to syllabus/schedule for due date. o Communication and problem solving will be communicated via the assigned team discussion board. Instructor(s) will monitor communication. o The project will be graded by the instructor(s) and the grade shared by all members of the project team. o Students will submit a peer evaluation for each individual team member o All projects are realistic and require plausible solutions. References preferably from multiple current sources must used to support project. 1
