About the Job VNE is looking for a website developer to join the team working on an upcoming e-commerce project. The e-commerce project will provide a channel for the maker and inventors in the community to earn a profit from their innovations. It will connect local makers with consumers in existing markets via the Internet, which is currently being installed in the favela, creating a sense of access and empowerment in the community. Responsibilities include: • Working with VNE staff to put design and wire framing guidance into development • Providing input on the creative process, business plan, and strategy behind the website Qualifications Qualifications for this position include: • Experience with HTML, CSS, and other programming languages necessary to develop an e- commerce website • Some business background to understand the best approach for creating the website • Fluency in English required • Background in design preferred How to Apply Please send a CV and portfolio to [email protected] and Patchi Dranoff at [email protected].
