Storybird lets anyone make visual stories/poems in seconds. We curate artwork from illustrators and animators

around the world and inspire writers of any age to turn those images into fresh stories.

Terms of Use: If you are under the age of 18, you should review this Agreement with your parent or guardian to

Directions:

How to make stories on Storybird?

1. Go to www.storybird.com and register for a “free account”.

2. On the menu bar, you will see You, Studio, Write, Read, and Search Bar.

Under the YOU tab, you can select the following:

Under the STUDIO tab, you can create a class account if you are an educator.

Under the WRITE tab, you can begin creating your story by viewing artwork images.

Under the READ tab, you will be able to select a category and start reading a story, poem, or blog.

3. To begin creating your story, click on the WRITE tab. Choose the artwork that you would like to use for your

story.

4. Click on Use this Art and select either Longform Book, Picture Book, or Poem.

6. Choose your cover for your Picture Book.

7. Type the title for your story and click on the right-arrow in the bottom right corner.

6. Begin writing your story.

To add a page, click on the + symbol. To delete a page, click on the – symbol.

7. Once you have created the number of desired pages for your story, click on Menu. You have the option to Invite

collaborator’s, Publish (Public or Private), or Save & Close.

3. Use the Menu in the bottom-left corner to "Save and Close" a story that's unfinished.

4. Select "Publish" when you're done.

You can share your private stories through email or codes with friends and family.

If you make your stories public, they will first be moderated by Storyspotters. After they are approved, your

story will appear in your profile, search, and the feeds of your followers. You can email and embed public

stories and share them on social networks.

When you're added some details, tap "Publish" at the bottom of the form. Done!

5. To edit your story. Click on the settings icon in your Unpublished section. You can edit your story and your

story "Details" (the information about your story) as often as you'd like.

How to make Poems on Storybird?

1. To begin creating your poem, click on the WRITE tab. Choose the artwork that you would like to use for your

poem.

2. In the editor, drag words onto the art page to create your poem.

3. Use the Refresh button in the bottom-right corner to refresh/change the words or the art.

4. Use the Menu in the bottom-left corner to Publish your poem. You can make it Public or Private. Click

Continue.

Note: You cannot edit your poems only the details. You either keep them or delete them by clicking on the settings

icon under the poem.
