About UsTursa Employment & Training is a non-government, not-for-profit organisation founded in 1994 for the express purpose of addressing unemployment. Providing employment services, including training for our clients, is our only business activity.

Tursa Employment & Training is all about work:

● Finding workers for business● Finding work for jobseekers● Preparing and assisting participants to secure paid work.

Accessibility: We proudly deliver Employment Services from 58 easily accessible offices from the Sunshine Coast, QLD to the Mid North Coast, NSW. A true network of metro and regional offices.

Experience: TURSA has an extensive history of providing employers with quality services and qualified workers – we are experienced in both individual and bulk recruitment.

Reach: Our locally based Business Liaison Teams and Disability Employment Advocates have access to an expansive database of potential employees.

Flexibility: Whether you are an employer who requires an apprentice or trainee, a permanent, casual or temporary employee, TURSA is able to assist.

Support: When you engage with TURSA, we work with you to identify the type of employee you require, throughout the recruitment process and into ongoing post placement support – the complete employment journey.

Employer Support – jobactive Our Business Liaison Team is on hand to provide you with simple relevant information regarding the incentives available to you. These incentives can minimise the risk of hiring new staff and help save your business money via reducing advertising costs and downtime.

TURSA can advise you on the availability of a number of incentives such as:

● The provision of wage subsidies which are financial incentives provided by the Australian Government to help eligible businesses hire new staff (terms and conditions apply)

● Traineeship incentives, assisting with providing work-clothing and applicable tools

● Accredited training.

● Ongoing post placement support designed to maximise staff retention.

Our Business Liaison Teams and Disability Employment Advocates provide ongoing support to your business after an employee has commenced employment. During this period, TURSA may be able to provide:

● Additional training ● Workplace modifications ● Position specific personal protection equipment ● Employees with access to transport ● Role specific tickets and Licenses.

Training As a Registered Training Organisation, TURSA offers nationally recognised qualifications in Business, Retail and Hospitality. We are happy to discuss the specialised training options available to assist in upskilling your employees.

We can organise relevant pre-employment training for all potential employees, such as necessary WHS cards and First Aid Certificates, at low or no cost.
