Found in 1867 in Cobden, Ontario, this rare navigational artifact brings us closer to Samuel de Champlain and his role as an explorer who initiated contact with the First Nations cultures he encountered. Rednaissance! By artist Elizabeth Doxtator May-August Elizabeth creates spectacular 3-dimensional sculptures from corn husk that document traditional teachings, as well as political and historic issues which affect First Nations people. The exhibition features nine corn husk installations including the Three Sisters and Chief Tecumseh as well as three paintings.
