Safe Spacer automatically alerts users if they come within 2 meters / 6 feet of other devices, so they can focus on their work and not their surroundings. Selectable vibration, LED light and auditory alerts provide effective protection, and intelligent contact prediction can alert users before they’re within limits.

Safe Spacer uses Ultra-wideband (UWB), the same technology introduced in the latest devices like Apple’s iPhone 11, to achieve precise ranging between devices. It’s up to 10x more accurate than traditional Bluetooth (10 cm vs. 1 meter). And unlike Bluetooth, Safe Spacer won’t lose accuracy when multiple devices are in close proximity.

Existing UWB solutions generally need an anchor unit to precisely monitor position. But with Safe Spacer’s innovative infrastructure-less system, there’s no extra hardware to install, and Safe Spacer can be used as a stand-alone device right out of the box.

Safe Spacer uses a sophisticated machine-learning algorithm to track not just other units’ location, but also how they are moving in the space. So it’s able to anticipate contacts and alert users before they happen, even if they’re not paying attention.

Safe Spacer uses motion data to optimize its UWB communications, reducing power consumption while increasing the number of simultaneously supported units. That allows it to run for weeks on a single charge, while keeping the system’s reaction time under a safe margin.

Since Safe Spacer only tracks your position relative to other units, it doesn’t capture traditional location information or other sensitive data. And only contacts are logged for potential tracing, keeping you safe and your privacy secure.

Safe Spacer also offers onboard Bluetooth and NFC communication to easily pair with a smartphone or laptop.
