I Stand Amazed in the Presence Gabriel

A Time of Intercessory Prayer The pastor addresses the congregation: Sisters and brothers, the Scriptures tell us to bear one another’s burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ. As your sister and brother in Christ, we ask you now, are you at peace with God, or is there anything in your life that causes you to feel separated from God and less than the full person God calls you to be?

Sisters and brothers, the Scriptures tell us not to be anxious about our lives or about tomorrow. Are there anxieties that cause you to feel separated from the peace that God promises?

The pastor invites the congregation to join in Intercessory Prayer at the altar and in their seat.

Let us pray. Eternal God, you have known us before we were here and will continue to know us after we are gone. Touch Jamie and all who have been lifted up to you in prayer this day with your grace and presence. As you give your abiding care, assure them that our communion together remains secure, and that your love for them is unfailing. In Christ, who came to us, we pray. Amen.
