In Flanders fields the poppies blowBetween the crosses, row on row,

That mark our place and in the skyThe larks, still bravely singing, flyScarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the dead, short days agoWe lived, felt down, saw sunset glow,Loved and were loved, and now we lie

In flanders field.

Take up our quarrel with the foe;To you from failing hands we throwThe torch; be yours to hold it high,If ye break faith with us who die

We shall not sleep, though poppies grow

IN FLANDERS FIELDS.

We will remember....

The 11th day of the 11th month2 minutes silence to rememberThe muddy battlefields, uglyThe young men who died

Their families

They helped us to liveThose brave soldiers who diedLike poppies in rows and rows

We will remember....

So dark so dull where the soldiers foughtIn the trenches, bombed out

Out came the poppies to make the land brightDropped young like those who fought and died

The poppies became a symbolfor friends and family and

those who survived, devastated

“we looked after our people”Say the proud soldiers in the ground

We will never forget

Ashlea GlenAge 9

We will remember....

God help the army, the airforce, the navyI hope there will be no more wars

Poppies grew in the warAround soldiers graves

The red is to remember the bloodfor when they got killed

We will remember all of thosewho fought for us

Poppies growing everywhere all aroundThey lay like those soldiers in the ground

We will never forget

We will remember....

Poppies growing all aroundLay with the soldiers in the ground

Many men have fought many years agoFamily, homes, they never wanted to let go

This is why we should careFor them, nobody is there

On those ugly fields of mud and bombsThose poppies gave love and hope

We will never forget

I feel really sad for those who diedThey saved our country from others

I wish war would stopThe soldiers would rise from the grave

To see the joy they have brought

The battle grounds are goneThe bloody fields are goneBut the poppies remain

They grow but die too soonWe will remember those blood red fields

Cross’s in linesSide by side in the fields where they lie

Remember those soldiers once moreThe horror they saw or heard

Our lives wouldn’t be the sameWithout those cross’s in linesThis is why we remember

Thank you
