Relatives as Parents Group MeetingsAre you raising a child of a relative? You are invited to join us monthly to learnabout resources and ideas in your role as acting parent/guardian. Dinner will beprovided. Please RSVP. Children are welcome to attend as there will be

Homebased Microprocessor WorkshopThis workshop is required in order to sell products such as home-cannedtomatoes and tomato products, pickled fruits and vegetables, salsa, barbecuesauces, pepper and herb jellies, pressure-canned vegetables, and low- or no-sugar jams and jellies. Field to ForkField to Fork is a learn-to-hunt program for adults (18 y/o and up) who are newto hunting in general, or who have little-to-no experience hunting. Join usDecember 13, 2019 (9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.) to learn about these skillsand to experience deer hunting with a mentor. Join us December 14, 2019(10:30 a.m. – 5:30p.m.) to learn how to break down and process a deer forfreezing, jerky making, or pressure canning. There is high demand for convenience in our society. As a result, meal-kitservices have become increasingly popular. Participants in this program
will learn the benefits and drawbacks of meal kits and determine whetherthey are an appropriate use of food dollars for their lifestyle. Come learn

Senior Citizens Holiday BagsThe Homemaker Council voted to once again sponsor the bags for the Senior Citizens
Center holiday party. If you can help assemble the bags, join us on December 19 at
11:00 a.m. at the Senior Citizens Center.
Opportunity to ServeThe Homemaker Council is still searching for someone to serve as Treasurer. Shirley
Denney is currently serving as interim treasurer since no one was installed at the
annual meeting. We are also in need of someone to step up to be secretary at the
annual meeting in May. Please consider stepping up to serve the county!
Extension Homemaker T-ShirtsWe currently do not have enough t-shirt orders to place the order, so if you have not
put in your order please go ahead and get it in! The order form can be found at the
Extension Office or here.
Craft CampJune 12-14, 2020 at JabezMark your calendars! Anderson County Extension Homemakers are planning the
event. We hope you can join us!

Food Pantry DonationsThe Homemaker Council continues to support the Food Pantry Project. The facility is
located at the Woodford County Park, 20 Field of Dreams Road. Hours areMondays - 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. and Thursdays - 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. Items may be
left in the Kroger or Save-A-Lot barrels in the store where you shop or you may drop
them off at the facility. Contact Sharon Hardin, 873-5525 or cell, 421-1217, if you
need to make special arrangements for delivery or pickup.
The following items are currently of greatest need: canned tuna, canned salmon,
canned beans of any type, canned beets, canned carrots, peas, mixed vegetables, 1
pound bag of rice.
Monetary donations are always appreciated. Thank you for your continued support!
