We exploit the OS power saving policies as much

as possible to save energy. Suspend is the lowest

power consumption state, while a tiny amount of

energy is delivered just for the RAM retention.

Power management is one of the most crucial need for our customers

Copyright © 2013 Intel Corporation, All rights reserved.

The linux power managment has been

extended by the Android developers with

wake lock mechanism that might prevent

the CPU suspend state while applications

or drivers have to complete some tasks.

When you turn off your mobile phone by the

power-key button, not always it goes to

suspend state nevertheless it turns off the

screen.

Our challenge is to put the CPU in suspend

mode quickly, also while wake locks are

preventing the suspend, to allow a battery

swap without a reboot cycle.

Android power management is not an easy game

We expose barcode scanner API as an extension of the Android SDK
