Competitive Marching Band
o Audition only group o Auditions will be held April 15-19 at
Westview, 3:45 to 4:45o For students who are not accepted we
are offering an additional audition June 17 – 19 at Westview 9am to 11am.
o Meets period 3* every day (period TBD)
o Meets 6-9pm every Tuesday evening during the Season
o Meets one day a week 3:20 – 4:20 with Instrumental Coach
o Rehearses 3:30 – 4:30 on Fridays that there is a Football Game
o Performs at all home Football games, competitive Field Shows
o Performs at community parades as well as at Disneyland
o A calendar is posted on our website.
Non Competitive Marching Band
o Meets period 4* every day (period TBD)
o Rehearses 3:30 – 4:30 on Fridays that there is a Football Game
o Performs at all home Football games
o Performs at community parades as well as at Disneyland
o A calendar is posted on our website.
o Football game performances will be the “fun” type of performance – Party Rock, etc…
Competitive Marching Band Auditions for 2013o Auditions will be April 17-20o 3:45 to 4:45o At Westview
o For students who are not accepted in April we are offering an additional audition June 17 – 19 at Westview 9am to 11am.
o We will also be holding weekly tutoring sessions at MVMS (day/time TBD)
o Auditions are based on Marching Skills 80%, Instrument 20%
o Students who do not make the Competitive Marching Band may participate if they play “pit” instruments (by audition).
