We Want EveryoneTo Enjoy Their Visit
Discover Aldenham Country Park. There are meadows, woodland and wetland for you to enjoy, and numerouspicnic spots to find; some of the most attractive areas are away from the surfaced paths, so do feel free to wander and explore.
It will help everyone to enjoy their day out and protect the Park’s wildlife if you observe the following points:
Would parents please note: children should be supervised at all times, especially in the Farm, playgrounds and near the lakeside.
Please use the gates, stiles and kissing gates and do not climb over fences. The field gates are sometimes locked. There is always a good reason for this - there may for example, be livestock in the field. Please respect this.
Litter is ugly and can harm humans and wildlife. Please use rubbish bins or take your litter home.
Not everyone is comfortable with dogs, particularly small children. Please keep your dog under control at all times. Please use a lead if you are in a field with livestock - the cattle cannot tell that your dog is friendly and may see it as a threat.
Dog excretement is horrible to tread in and can carry disease. If your dog fouls please clear up after it.
Wild flowers should be left for everyone to enjoy. Please don’t pick or damage any of the plants or trees.
A copy of the Bye-laws is posted on the Park information boards. The following activities are not permitted:
Canoeing, swimming and paddling in the lake Skating Use of toy motor boats or aeroplanes Barbecues and fires Use of off-road vehicles Camping Driving instruction
