Mass in Honor of Santa Fara

At the beginning of the 20th Century Italian immigration to America was at its height.

The immigrants brought many of their traditions with them. One tradition was

devotion to the patron saint of the town from which they came.

Immigrants from the Sicilian town of Cinisi commissioned a statue of their patron

saint, Santa Fara. That statue is in the chapel on the left in the rear of St. Ambrose.

There will be a Mass in honor of Santa Fara at 11:00 am on Sunday, September 16,

2018.
