We The Curious is an imaginative and hands on attraction offering unique event spaces for hire on Bristol’s historic Harbourside. We’re an educational charity that removes boundaries around science – connecting art, people and ideas in a united culture of curiosity.

So if you’re holding an awards night, launching a new product or just looking for a space to work and engage with your team, we can help you create the perfect event. Our versatile spaces within We The Curious and Bristol Aquarium, are quirky and flexible to suit everything from your special celebration to the essential boardroom meeting. We are all about collaboration and will work with you to bring your event to life.

The top floor of We The Curious offers a versatile event space filled with natural light. Guests can enjoy a breath of fresh air on the rooftop terraces overlooking Bristol Cathedral and Millennium Square. The adjoining Annexe can be used for breakout zones or as a spacious catering area. Perfect for – conferences, exhibitions,awards ceremonies, weddings and civilpartnerships, private dinners and parties.

The Annexe

The flexible sunlit Annexe can be divided into three smaller rooms or used as a single space. Direct access onto the private terrace offers guests outside space to enjoy during their event.Perfect for - meetings, workshops,networking and drinks receptions, summer parties and wedding ceremonies

The Planetarium

The impressive silver dome is an exceptional choice for a presentation or a wedding ceremony under the stars. Alternatively add some sparkle to your event by treating your guests to an exclusive show. The UK’s only 3D Planetarium seats up to 97 guests with fulldome technology and AV included. Perfect for – presentations, screenings,weddings and civil partnerships andprivate shows.

We The Curious exhibition floors

The exhibition floors are available for private hire as an out of the ordinary introduction to your evening. Guests can grab a drink and explore over 250 interactive exhibits.Perfect for – drinks receptions, launch parties and networking.

Millennium & Anchor Square

These stunning spaces form the centre of Bristol’s Harbourside with a vibrant collection of public artworks, water features and light sculptures. With handy on site facilities, we can accommodate a variety of outdoor events. Perfect for – markets, product launches,filming and photoshoots, festivals,exhibitions and staged events.

Bristol Aquarium – Displays and Foyer

Host a drinks reception in the Bristol Aquarium and marvel at a wide variety of fish species and tropical gardens. Continue the party in the atmospheric foyer space under the canopied ceiling.Perfect for – dinners, drink receptions, networking and parties.

Bristol Aquarium – Turing Room

This spacious purpose built meeting room has natural light and a dedicated lobby area for registration or refreshments. With in-built AV it’s a convenient option for your booking. Perfect for – workshops, meetings, away days and presentations.

Bristol Aquarium – Large Screen Theatre

Formally home to an IMAX cinema this large auditorium retains the impressive 19 x 15m screen to create the ultimate visual experience. The theatre has tiered seating for 340 people with a small stage area.Perfect for – presentations, lectures, film screenings and conferences.

Weddings

We offer a variety of options, guaranteed to inspire and wow guests on your big day. Choose from a simple ceremony in our sunlit Annexe, a reception in the impressive Rosalind Franklin Room, or a ceremony under a thousand glittering stars in the stunning Planetarium.

Catering

Our caterers, Elior, use the best ingredients, locally sourced and freshly prepared in-house. Our expert chef will work with you to create a menu perfect for your event, with delicious results.
