*Call to Worship From Psalm 90

Leader: Lord, you have been our dwelling place in all generations. Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever you had formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God.

Congregation: You return man to dust and say, “Return, O children of man!” For a thousand years in your sight are but as yesterday when it is past, or as a watch in the night.

You sweep them away as with a flood; they are like a dream, like grass that is renewed in the morning: in the morning it flourishes and is renewed; in the evening it fades and withers. (Psalm 90:1-6) Our God, Our Help in Ages Past Hymn No. 30 Verses 1-3

Page 5: We strive to be a Christ-centered community that advances ...westminpca.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/Sample-of-new-bulletin... · CCLI Song # 2430948 ... PowerPoint: Lacie Garringer

For we are brought to an end by your anger; by your wrath we are dismayed.

All: You have set our iniquities before you, our secret sins in the light of your presence.

Who considers the power of your anger, and your wrath according to the fear of you? (Psalm 90:7, 8, 11)

Verse 4

A thousand ages in your sight are like an evening gone; short as the watch that ends the night before the rising sun.

Verse 6

Time, like an ever-rolling stream, bears all its sons away;

They fly forgotten, as a dream dies at the op’ning day.

So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.

Return, O LORD! How long? Have pity on your servants!

Satisfy us in the morning with your steadfast love, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.

Make us glad for as many days as you have afflicted us, and for as many years as we have seen evil.

Let your work be shown to your servants, and your glorious power to their children.

Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands upon us; yes, establish the work of our hands! (Psalm 90:12-17)

Verse 7

Our God, our help in ages past, our hope for years to come: O be our guard while troubles last, and our eternal home.

*Closing Song Cornerstone

Verse 1 My hope is built on nothing less

Than Jesus' blood and righteousness I dare not trust the sweetest frame

But wholly trust in Jesus' Name

(Repeat)

Chorus Christ alone cornerstone

Weak made strong in the Saviour's love Through the storm He is Lord

Lord of all

Verse 2 When darkness seems to hide His face

I rest on His unchanging grace In every high and stormy gale

My anchor holds within the veil

Chorus

Verse 3 When He shall come with trumpet sound

Oh may I then in Him be found Dressed in His righteousness alone Faultless to stand before the throne

Chorus x 2

For more information about Westminster, visit westminpca.com. For more information about the PCA, visit pcanet.org. For more information about the Central Indiana Presbytery, visit centralindianapresbytery.org. Guests: We are so glad that you have chosen to worship with us this morning. We hope that we lead you well in worshiping our great God and celebrating our incredible salvation that we have in Christ. We hope, also, that we love you well today and make you feel welcome. Please give us the opportunity to meet you today by joining us for coffee in the gym between services. Also, please help us by filling out the welcome pad when it is passed during worship. This allows us to get to know you a little better. Small Groups: Small groups are our way of getting to know each other a bit better. We meet in groups of ten to twenty people for Bible study, prayer, and fellowship. We meet in homes throughout the greater Muncie area, and we would love to help you find a small group. Please call the church office (765-288-3355) to learn more about our small group ministry. Assisted Listening Devices are available at the sound booth in the back of the sanctuary. Sermons are recorded and are available on www.Sermonaudio.com.

Sunday Schedule 8:30 a.m. Early Worship Service 9:45–10:00 a.m. Coffee in the Fellowship Hall 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. Sunday School 11:00 a.m. Late Worship Service 6:00 p.m. Evening Service

Small groups meet on the 2nd Sunday evening of the month and there is no evening service.

Nursery Westminster offers a fully staffed nursery for children under three years old. We also offer Jr. Church for children age three to five years old. At Westminster, we believe that children are an important part of our community, and we want them to learn to worship with us. Please feel free to keep your children of any age with you in the service, and please do not be uncomfortable with their cooing and whispering. They are learning to worship! Additionally, to help them worship, crayons, clipboards with sermon notes and coloring pages, as well as copies of The Jesus Storybook Bible, are available right outside the doors to the sanctuary.

Christian Education We offer Christian Education opportunities for all ages, with classes for 2 year olds all the way up to adult classes. Please see an usher for help finding the right classroom for you or your family.

This quarter’s Adult Sunday School classes include:

The Life of David, led by Steve Brown. This class picks up where Steve left off in the fall and and will meet in room 30. R. C. Sproul’s two-part video series, Chosen by God and Pleasing God, will meet in the Triple Room (rooms 32-34).
