CHB GROUP has a constant presence in the fresh fruit industry since 1955 and has grown to become the largest fruit processing group in Greece.
The fruit processing began in the early 70’s. Today CHB GROUP processes more than 200.000 tonnes of Greek fruits annually including: oranges, peaches, apricots, apples, pears, lem-ons, kiwis, grapes, cherries, plums, pomegranates, carrots, grapefruit and more.
From these fruits and their combination, CHB GROUP produces a wide range of products such as juices, concentrates, purees, bottled juices (private label and own branded), canned fruits, fruit preparations, granita- slush bases etc. Moreover, it specializes in the development of tailor made bases and blends for the production of juices and fruit drinks.

Greece is considered primarily as a fruit producing country. Fruits should be included in the daily diet to help the body stay fit and healthy. They are nature’s wonderful medicines, with unique nutrition profile packed with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and many phytonutrients.
CHB GROUP, using the latest technology and machinery, processes fruits of the Greek land such as: oranges, peaches, apples, apricots, pears, lemons, grapes, kiwis, cherries, pomegranates, plums, grapefruits, carrots and many more, while maintaining the nutrients and flavors intact.
Both factories that CHB GROUP owns, Christodoulou Bros S.A. and Vitom S.A., are located right in the heart of fruit production, giving the significant advantage to the company, to achieve fast accessibility to fruits. The process of harvesting and juicing is done within the shortest time, to retain the characteristics of each fruit and guarantee the freshness of the products produced.

POMeGRanaTe Pomegranates grow in Macedonia and Argolis from October until November. CHB GROUP processes the Wonder-ful variety, known for its bright red color and the Epidaurus (Hermione) variety that is known for its sweet and delicious taste. They are mainly used in combi-nation with other fruits for the preparation of blends.
Pomegranate Juice NFC, Pomegranate Juice Concentrate, Pomegranate blends.
CHeRRY Cherry season in Greece lasts one month, from mid-May to mid-June. The only variety that CHB GROUP uses is Tragana which is charac-terized by its deep red color.
Cherry pulp, cherry juice concentrate, cherry fruit preparation.
ManDaRin Mandarins are harvested mainly in Peloponnese.The mandarin season in Greece begins in November and lasts until February.
Mandarin juice NFC, mandarin juice concentrate, mandarin essential oil.
ORanGe Orange production starts in November and lasts un-til September. CHB GROUP processes Washington Navel, Valencia, Common, Merlin Moro, Tarocco and Sanguine varieties.
Orange juice NFC, NFC organic juice, orange juice concentrate, orange concen-trate, orange cells, organic orange cells, orange essential oil, orange fragrance.
PeaCH CHB GROUP processes Yellow Clingstone and Freestone varieties of peach such as Andros, Everts, Loadel and Katerina, which are pro-duced in Macedonia and Thessaly area. They are harvested starting from early July until mid-September.
Peach puree, peach puree concentrate, peach juice concentrate (cloudy, clari-fied), aseptic peach dices, aseptic peach slices, peach fruit preparation, peach slush base, canned peaches.
CaRROT In Greece carrots are cultivated mainly in Mace-donia and Central Greece. Aegina is the main carrot variety with a large conical root and orange color. It is mainly used in combination with other fruits for the preparation of blends.
Carrot Blends.
GRaPe The grape harvest begins in September and lasts until October. CHB GROUP uses grapes from the Nemea area in Corinth as well as varieties from Patras and Kavala.
White grape juice concentrate, deionized white grape juice.
GRaPefRUiT Grapefruits are harvested mainly in Peloponnese and Crete. The crop begins in November and lasts until March.
Grapefruit juice concentrate, grapefruit es sential oil.
KiWi The kiwi crop in Greece takes place in November. The Hayward and Tsechelidis varieties, which are used by CHB GROUP are grown in Epirus and Central Macedonia areas.
Kiwi puree, organic kiwi puree, kiwi juice concentrate (clarified).
GOji BeRRY Goji berries are grown in Kozani and Kilkis and they are harvested mainly in July and August. They are mainly used in combination with other fruits for the preparation of blends.

PeaR Pears are grown in Macedonia and Thessaly and their harvest begins in August and lasts until September. CHB GROUP uses the Williams variety in its pear products. This particular variety is well-known for its exceptional quality, intense fragrance and flavor.

PlUM The plum crop in Greece takes place between August and September. The main farming areas are Thessaly, the island of Skopelos, Central Greece, Macedonia and Thrace. The main plum vari-eties that are grown are: Black Beauty, Black Star, Black Diamond, Friar, Stanley and Angelino.

leMOn Lemon production takes place in the Pelopon-nese region and their harvest begins in January and lasts until the end of March. The main variety that CHB GROUP uses in its production is Maglina.
Lemon juice NFC, organic lemon juice NFC, lemon juice concentrate, lemon concentrate, lemon cells, organic lemon cells, lemon slush base, lemon essential oil.
aPRiCOT The apricot harvest and processing in Greece begins in June and lasts until July. The main variety processed by CHB GROUP is Bebeco.
Apricot puree, organic apricot puree, apricot puree concentrate, apricot juice concentrate (clarified), apricot fruit preparation, canned apricots.
aPPle The apple season in Greece begins in September and lasts until November. The main varieties used by CHB GROUP are Star-kin (low acidity) and Granny Smith (high acidity).

CHB GROUP produces a wide range of Juices, Concen-trates and Purees.
NFC (Not from Concentrate) are premium quality juic-es, extracted from the fruit mainly by squeezing and without removing the water content. They are the clos-est match to freshly-squeezed juice, retaining most of the vitamins, minerals and flavors of the fruits.
Concentrated juices are obtained by removing, through evaporation, the water content of the juice, thus offer-ing advantages of storing and preservation.
Fruit purees refer to mashed fruits from which the skin and seeds have been removed, retaining their initial taste and mouthfeel. Ideal for the production of bever-ages and smoothies.
Moreover CHB Group produces cloudy, clarified and deionized juices. Products: NFC juices, Concentrated juices, Fruit purees, Cloudy juices, Clarified juices, Deionized juices.

CHB GROUP processes in the two company owned plants, Christodoulou Bros S.A and Vitom S.A, about 200.000 tonnes of Greek fruits annually including: oranges, peaches, apricots, apples, cherries, pears, grapes, lemons, kiwis, plums, pomegranates, carrots, grapefruit etc.
Owing it to their modern equipment, both plants offer high quality products, intended to serve the demands of: juice and drink bottlers, dairy and ice-cream manufacturers, jam producers, supermarket chains, perfume industries
and companies belonging to the HO.RE.CA Sector.
The main products produced are juices, concentrates, purees, blends and bases for beverages, bottled juices (private label and own branded), canned fruits, fruit preparations, granita- slush bases etc.
CHB GROUP also produces organic products and owns bottling lines for private label products.
Organic products are made from fruits that have been cultivated with natural means without the use of any chemical fertilizers or pesticides. The return to traditional cultivation methods, con-tributes to the preservation of tradition and the protection of the environment , as no chemical residues pass to the underground water supply. As a result, the organic fruits have a better taste and are richer in vitamins and minerals.
CHB GROUP gives special attention to a healthy , balanced diet and includes in its range a large variety of organically cultivated products. Specifically, it produces juices and by-products, prima-ry from Greek fruits, like oranges, lemons, apricots and kiwi.

ORGaniC PRODUCTS
ART FRUIT is a part of CHB GROUP which is dedicated to the pro-duction of fruit preparations. Fruit Preparations are mixtures of ingredients composed by processed fruit either in the form of liquids or in pieces with added sweeteners, stabilizers, colors, preservatives, functional additives etc. Fruit Preparations are combined or mixed with dairy and food products, to add flavor, fragrance and value.
ART FRUIT via up-to date technology and constant monitoring of the market regarding fruit preparations, is able to provide basic or tailor made fruit preparations of high quality, keeping the fra-grance and the flavor of processed fruit intact.

CHB GROUP processes fruits such as peaches by cutting them in dices and packing them in aseptic packages to keep the nutrients of the fruit intact, without adding any preservatives. In addition, CHB GROUP produces canned peach dices (14x14) in metal cans.

eSSenTial OilSCHB GROUP, during the processing of citrus fruits (oranges, lemons, mandarins, grapefruits), extracts essential oils by cold pressing the fruits’ external surface where small oil sacks are located. The oil is collected by the smoothing or the rupture of the stigmas during the juicing process.

Greece is known as one of the greatest producing and exporting countries of canned peaches over the world . CHB GROUP carries out the production of canned fruits in the state of the art certified facility of VITOM S.A., whereas in 2015 a significant investment has been made in order to increase efficiency and achieve optimal pro-duction and quality rates.
The plant, in order to achieve prompt accessibility to fruits, is locat-ed right in the heart of raw material production, in North Greece. Thus providing the benefit to guarantee absolute freshness of end products. All fruits are processed through the unique 3600 method, undergo thermal processing and are appropriately sealed in less than 24 hours from harvest. Consequently, our canned fruits pre-serve all fruits’ characteristics such as flavor and nutritional factors intact for 3 years.
The fruits are cut in halves, slices or dices and the products are available in standard, good standard and choice quality under light or heavy syrup, in juice or water. The packaging can be normal or easy open with stackable option.
Products: Peach Halves, peach slices, peach dices, apricot halves, fruit cocktail.
CanneD fRUiTS
During the last few years CHB GROUP has provided products and ser-vices to clients who wish to enter the market with their own brand (private label). More specifically, the company proposes, creates and develops integrated products, or recommends improvements on ex-isting ones, depending on the specifications of each customer, mar-ket needs and the brand that each client represents.
Innovative technology, in conjunction with marketing techniques, en-ables CHB GROUP to create highly competitive products.
Private label juices are available in Tetra Pak and PET packaging. In particular, TetraPak comes in Tetra prisma Aseptic 250 Sq Pulltab type and the 1 Lt packaging comes in TBA 1000 Sq StreamCap type. Aseptic packaging provides 12 months shelf life in ambient environ-ment.
PET packaging is also available to the same sizes but requires chilled condition storage. Private label canned fruits are available in various sized tins (420 g - 820 g - A9 - A10 - A12) or glass jars (720 ml).
CHB GROUP produces fruit-flavored granita syrups. They are semi frozen desserts of fruit juice, sugar water and flavorings. They are the best choice for a refreshing treat.

CHB GROUP has launched under the Brand ‘Chris Family’ its own Pre-mium juices. All ‘Chris Family’ juices are completely natural, without the addition of preservatives, without coloring and gluten free.

The range of products includes: juices and blends in BiB packag-ing, canned fruits, water ices and hot - cold - frozen beverages.
In order to create original products and to ex-pand their product line, perfume industries use chemical or herbal ingredients such as essential oils.
CHB GROUP mainly produces orange and lemon essential oils, which derive from distillation or pressure processes and are stored in special facilities until being deliv-ered to the customers.
Bakery products have evolved in the past years to become more delicious and tech-nologically complicated. New ideas and fla-vors are used for the production of creams, fillings and decorative syrups that improve the appearance and the taste of the finished products.
CHB GROUP provides bakery industry and confectionery with bakery fillings (chocolate or fruit) fruit purees and fruit dices.
CHB GROUP develops private label products to clients who wish to enter the market with juices, drinks or canned fruits under their own brand. For the conventional and organic juices the packaging can be in Tetra Pak (250 ml-1lt) and PET (250 ml-1lt) and for the canned fruits packaging can be in tins of various sizes (0,5- 1-3-3,5-5 kg) or glass jars (1kg).
Jams were invented during ancient times when there was the need to preserve and the desire to consume fruits that were out of season. It is an excellent choice as part of a complete breakfast, as its main ingredient is fresh fruit.

is located in Aghia Triada, Nafplio, in the heart of citrus fruit production and has the ability to pro-cess over 100.000 tonnes of fruit, annually. The plant facilities are equipped with the latest FMC extractors and production lines and there is a sep-arate area for the production of fruit preparations.
The plant has both refrigerated and ambient stor-age areas for the storage of citrus fruit juices (concentrates or NFC). The production plant is 20.000m2 in size and located on 90.000m2 of pri-vately-owned property.
ARTFRUIT is a separate part within the plant that is dedicated to the production of fruit preparations for dairy products, ice cream and bakery products.

CHRISTODOULOU BROS S.A
is located in Koufalia, Thessaloniki, in the heart of the peach and apple growing areas and has the ability to process around 100.000 tonnes of fruit annually. Its main activity is the production and distribution of canned fruits, fruit purees, fruit dic-es and concentrated fruit juices.
It has special mechanical bottling equipment (Tet-ra Pak and PET) for fruit juice packaging and also all the necessary certificates for the bottling of organic juices.
The production plant covers an area of 30.000m2 and is built on 80.000m2 privately-owned property.
