Your first visit to Maple Dental Care

The vast majority of our patients have been recommended to us by friends and family or by

their own dentist who may not undertake particular types of treatments. Either way, you will

see our Patient Coordinator Helen Healey who will meet with you briefly to understand the

type of treatment you are seeking and discuss any fears you may have if you are a nervous

patient. It is at this point we will decide which dentist best suits your needs. This discussion

will take place outside of the surgery in our comfortable consultation room.

After this time the dentist will spend some time speaking with you in order to understand any

problems you might be having and then a treatment plan will be formulated.

Straightening Teeth

Fixed Braces

Almost invisible, these braces have a proven track record for their performance and beautiful

aesthetics. We use tooth coloured wires which are much more appealing than similar systems

which use metal coloured wires.

Oral Surgery & Dental Implants

Sometimes it is necessary to perform some type of oral surgery. This might be to allow other

types of treatments to be carried out or simply that a tooth needs to be extracted.

We use the latest techniques to achieve maximum comfort while carrying out these

procedures.

We are also able to carry out these procedures under conscious sedation if you are nervous.

Replacement of teeth using Dental Implants

Dental implants are now an everyday treatment being delivered at Maple Dental Care. They

are an ideal method of fixed tooth replacement for people in good general health who have

lost a tooth or teeth due to an accident, gum disease or severe decay.

Dental implants are the closest outcome a patient can achieve to their own natural teeth and

can be used to replace single or multiple missing teeth. You won’t be able to tell the difference

and after a while its likely that you’ll forget they’re even there.

Cosmetic treatments are available to improve and restore the appearance of your teeth and

smile.

It is important for us to understand your concerns about your smile so that we can consider

the most appropriate treatment. This can range from one tooth to an overall smile

enhancement and there are a multitude of options available.

Whilst making these changes to your smile it is also important to us that your teeth look as

natural as possible. Our veneers and crowns are made in a bespoke manner to blend with the

rest of your teeth.

We treat gaps in your smile with implants, bridges and if your teeth could benefit from being

a few shades lighter we can lighten them with our in-house treatment or with a take home

approach that you can progress with at your leisure.

Hygienist appointments

Our hygiene services are provided by a team of hygiene therapists who are available to our

patients without the need for a Dentist’s referral, if required. The team work very closely with

all of the clinicians ensuring the best possible outcomes for you both before, during and after

treatment.

The team are extensively experienced at using the latest technology to ensure your general

oral health is well maintained. The team are able to remove staining with our airflow

equipment brought on by smoking, drinking coffee and also red wine.

is a superb treatment if you are not comfortable using whitening trays and in particular if you

feel you need that extra sparkle without the wait!

Ian is a general dentist with a special interest in root canal treatments and enjoys restoring patients’ smiles. When Ian isn’t treating patients he is a teaching fellow at Manchester University. Ian has great enthusiasm for quality dentistry and ensures the patients at Maple Dental Care have the best experience possible and will always go the extra mile.

Rahim can be found lecturing other dentists on the art of implant dentistry. Rahim has an MSc (Distinction) in Dental Implantology.

Craig is a general dentist with a special interest in restorative and implant dentistry. Craig offers intravenous sedation to those patients who suffer with anxiety and are of a nervous disposition. Craig has a Masters degree in Prosthodontics which involves the restoration of damaged, worn or missing teeth.

Stephen is a general dentist with special interests in aesthetic treatments and orthodontics (braces) and creates beautiful smiles. Stephen is the practice provider of Invisalign, a popular treatment for straightening teeth with clear braces. Stephen is constantly updating his knowledge and skills to give the best quality dentistry and outcomes.

Nuha is a highly qualified dentist who has a special interest in oral surgery. Nuha provides a number of treatments such as the removal of wisdom teeth and exposure of impacted teeth as well as complex tooth extractions. Nuha also provides intravenous sedation which helps the patient relax during complex treatments.

Meet the Dentists

Please meet our Oral Health Educators, Faye, Angela and Jenny. The team are always on hand to give advice to our patients about how to clean their teeth and keep their gums healthy. They regularly visit local schools to show the children how to brush their teeth and also what foods they should be eating (and those that they should keep to a minimum).

Tom is a general dentist who has a strong ability to calm a nervous patient. It is important to Tom that he regularly keeps himself updated with the most recent techniques and innovations in dentistry, in particular the area of aesthetic treatments. Tom enjoys restoring smiles.
