*The church nursery (which is available for children ages 0 - 3) is located back the main hallway, past the restrooms, on the left. Please feel free to entrust your children to us for this hour.

Manheim Project The Evangelism and Servant Ministries (ESM) Team is recruiting volunteers for Manheim Project 2019. East Fairview Church is scheduled to work three days: Tuesday, July 16; Wednesday, July 17; and Thursday, July 18. We plan to meet at the church at 8:00 AM on each of the three work days before heading out to various work sites. We will eat lunch at the church. We will then return to the work site until about 4:00 PM. The Manheim Project is a cooperative effort by many Manheim area churches to help our neighbors with maintenance and landscaping needs. If you are willing and able to help, please sign up on the “Manheim Project” sheet at the Welcome Desk. Fill out the application form and waiver of liability and give it to Jim Gibble (work coordinator) or Dave Stauffer (ESM Team leader) before May 19.

Witness to the Host City (Greensboro, NC) The Annual Conference of the Church of the Brethren (July 3-7, 2019) will be partnering with BackPack Beginnings in Greensboro, NC for our Witness to the Host City outreach this year. The mission of BackPack Beginnings is to provide children in need with nutritious food, comfort items, and basic necessities. It was started in 2010 and now serves over 4,000 children. You can learn more about BackPack Beginnings online at https://backpackbeginnings.org.

East Fairview Church will be collecting the following food items (in order of need): Canned Soups, Canned Chef Boyardee Meals, Canned Chicken & Tuna, Grits & Oatmeal, Healthy Snacks, Washcloths, Deodorant, Toothpaste, and Activity Books.

Also being collected are: -gently used khaki/navy pants for boys & girls, sizes 8-14; -gently used jeans for boys & girls, sizes 2T, 3T, 4, 5, 6, 6X, & 7/8; -gently used children’s athletic shoes, sizes 10-13 and 1-5.

Youth Mission Trip to Brooklyn All youth in grades 6-12 are invited and encouraged to participate in this mission project in Brooklyn, New York from Monday, July 15

will be a challenging and fun week for the youth as they serve in various work projects and enjoy some day trips to Manhattan & Coney Island.
