Prayers for the Sick and Dying

The Divine Mercy Chaplet is one of the best means of assisting the dying. Jesus revealed the power of this prayer to St. Faustina. The Lord gave many promises regarding recitation of the Divine Mercy Chaplet for the sick and/or dying.

There are parishioners who regularly pray the chaplet. We have a prayer chain and are ac-cepting prayer requests.

If you are interested in joining the prayer chain, please contact Bea Harrigan at (973) 827-0083. If you have a special prayer request, or prayers for a loved one who is sick and/or dying, you may call Bea Harrigan, Cheryl Avery at (973) 702-1342, or Denise Drogo at (973) 875-6863.

Consecration Mass is Friday May 31st at 7:30 PM

With the Final Class on June 4th/5th

In today’s Gospel Jesus makes a bold and clear statement to his disciples. “I give you a new commandment: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you should love one another. This is how all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” We are called to love others as a sign of our discipleship in Jesus Christ. That includes even those “others” we might prefer to forget. We are so often tempted to draw lines between those who we will love and those who we consid-er not worthy of our love. This week take time to reflect on Jesus’ love command. How often do we heed Jesus’ love com-mand? What change in our lives must take place in order for us to obey this command?

Secular Franciscans - Information Night The Order of Franciscans Secular are lay people who strive to follow the Gospel more intensely and develop a deeper relationship with Christ in the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi. We are women and men of all ages and walks of life that engage in the same struggles as everyone else. We attempt to focus on daily conversation. We rely on the Holy Spirit to guide us and our local community of Franciscans to pray for us as we support each other. The Secular Franciscan vocation is a chal-lenge, but the grace, love and joy that we experience and share is be-yond awesome. We’d love to share that with you too, but most espe-cially provide an opportunity for you to grow closer to Christ - even if you’re not called to join the Franciscan family. If you’d like to learn more, please join us at an Information Night.
