We Have Four Essential Marks As a Church

The Essential Four

The Church’s four essential marks are ONE, HOLY, CATHOLIC and APOSTHOLIC

All the four are related to each other

Church as ONE

The ONE living God (Father, Son, Holy Spirit)

Jesus Christ was created by god to unite all the people as ONE

The Holy Spirit helps unite all the baptized Christian/Catholic to become ONE

We are ONE with the leaders of the ChurchWe are united in Faith and Love

Church as Holy

Jesus is the perfect example of holinessThe Holy Spirit dwells in the Church to

give us courage and life to become HOLYAll baptized members are Holy

Church as Catholic

The Church is universalThe Church welcomes all to joinThe Church invites all to hear the good

news of JesusBefore Jesus ascended to heaven he gave

the apostles their mission which is to spread the good news

Church as Apostolic

Jesus Christ is the founder of the ChurchThe Church is guided by it’s successors

specifically the Popes, Bishops and Priest
