A guide to your inorganic service We collect inorganics from within your property. It means we make the most of waste, as items that still have value can be reused. Book your collection in advance and we’ll let you know when we’re in your area. Here’s how it works: How to book - collection dates will display only if bookings are still open for your area. • Online – visit inorganiccollections.aucklandcouncil. govt.nz/Inorganic/ • In person – visit one of our service centres • By phone – call us on 09 301 0101. You can book your collection anytime from mid-January to eight days before your scheduled collection week. 1 Process Once you have made a booking, we will tell you by email, text or phone what day we will pick up your inorganic waste. 2 Find out more at aucklandcouncil.govt.nz On collection day Inorganic collections take place between 7am and 4pm. Put items inside your property/section boundary (a small trailer load, 1 cubic metre) where they can be easily accessed. 3 1m 1m What we will do Council will give reusable or repairable items to local groups to fix, rehome or resell. 6 What happens Inorganic materials are collected by two trucks. One truck will pick up reusable inorganic material, and the other truck will take other accepted items. 5 Do not put them on the berm, kerb or footpath – this is considered illegal rubbish dumping. 4 Easy for you. Search ‘transfer stations’ or ‘hazardous waste’ at aucklandcouncil.govt.nz for disposal advice. Check the Worksafe

website for certified asbestos removers. Household rubbish and recycling should be put out in your usual kerbside collection.
