If we were to represent our identity, what would it look like?

How does the media and pop culture influence our identities and choices we make about music, clothing, hairstyles and social activities?

POP Art Project: AIM: You will learn how to look critically at your own popular culture and analyze the images that bombard you every day. Using visual art and technology (you may want to take photos of items around you/you are influenced by and print them off to glue onto your project) as the medium for expression, you will… Start collecting cut-out words/ phrases from newspapers, magazines, etc. that describes your character/personality, beliefs, ambitions, dreams, etc. Include pictures of products, people, music artists, etc., that you are influenced by/ popular items from your “pop culture.” . Think about your relationship with POP Culture. Are you influenced by POP Culture and the media? We will begin this next week.
