WE ARE COCA-COLA EUROPEAN PARTNERS IN GB

Welcome to Coca-Cola European Partners – a major new soft drinks business based here in Great Britain following the merger of Coca-Cola Enterprises, Coca-Cola Iberian Partners and Coca-Cola Erfrischungsgetränke.

Although we are now part of a new European business, our focus in this country will remain unchanged; we will continue to look at how to grow our business in a sustainable way, while creating value for our

customers. Millions of consumers enjoy soft drinks every day and as market leader we recognise that we have a role to play as we continue to deliver a wide ranging sugar reduction strategy to allow our consumers to make the right choices for them and their families.

This booklet will give you a snapshot of who we are as well as showcasing our heritage as a local business, focusing on the people that help us to produce and sell some of the country’s most popular soft drinks brands.

As we start our journey as part of Coca-Cola European Partners, we want to engage with you to identify ways in which we can work together to create innovative solutions to some of the challenges and demands that our society is facing. If you would like to find out more about anything in this booklet please use the contact information on the back page. We welcome your thoughts.

Leendert den Hollander, VP and General Manager, Coca-Cola European Partners, GB

WE’VE REDUCED THE

SINCE 2012

The largest independent Coca-Cola bottler based on revenue. Operating across 13 European countries, Coca-Cola European Partners employs 25,000 people and will meet the needs of 300 million consumers.

But we’re also a local business with deep roots in the British economy and the communities where we operate.

97% of the products we sell in Great Britain are made in this country at our six manufacturing sites. In GB we directly employ 4,000 people and support a further 8 jobs across the economy for each person

we employ. We support 8,500 British suppliers, with whom we spend £800 million each year.

As we continue to grow our business across Britain, we look to do so in a sustainable way. We’ve achieved a 48% reduction in our carbon footprint since 2007 and send zero waste from our manufacturing operations to landfill. We have also reduced the average calories per litre in our range of sparkling drinks by 5% since 2012, as part of our ongoing sugar reduction strategy which has seen us invest heavily to reformulate products, introduce new drinks and encourage more

consumers to switch to no added sugar choices.

We make a positive contribution to the British economy and our business generates value worth £2.4 billion each year. We cause approximately £1.3 billion in taxes, including VAT, to flow to HM Treasury every year.

And we’re investing more than £1 million a week in our operations in this country – and have committed more than £356 million over the past six years to increase our productivity and reduce our environmental impacts.

WE INVEST MORE THAN

£1M EACH WEEK INTO OUR GB OPERATIONS
