The Role of School Based
Mental Health Support
● Provide services that support and enhance the social/emotional well-being of all students
● May include school-wide prevention programs, student check-ins, peer groups, staff mentoring
● The intent is to teach students problem solving and coping skills
Please know direct therapy is not provided in the school setting. However outside
referrals/communication can be conducted with outside agencies to best support the
needs of your student(s).

Academic Success on the Block Schedule

Book Study: How To Raise An Adult
Join a discussion of Julie Lythcott-Haims’s book How to Raise an Adult: Break Free of the Overparenting Trap and Prepare Your Kid for Success led by Grandview Counseling Coordinator Paul Eppard. The group will meet five times throughout the year from 6:00-7:00 PM in the Grandview Lecture Center on the following dates:
