INVESTING IN THE BUTTE LOCAL DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION IS A COMMITMENT TO ELEVATING BUTTE AS THE IDEAL LOCATION TO LIVE, WORK, AND PLAY!
In Butte, Montana, we are a community full of economic possibilities! There’s an energy in Butte that invigorates, strengthens, and inspires innovation and entrepreneurism. We have a strong sense of culture and place focused on the importance of protecting and advancing our community and local businesses.
The Butte Local Development Corporation (BLDC) is proud to be Butte-Silver Bow County’s official public/private organization for economic development. Our mission is to lead our community in building a stronger and more diverse economy through high-quality services and programs designed to make relocation, expansion, or start-up as smooth as possible.
“The BLDC is an instrumental part of our community and has been incredibly valuable for our business. The technical advice they have provided us has helped us increase our sales and grow our fly shop. We are particularly excited about the Basecamp Butte initiative, and look forward to the success that it is going to bring our community.“ Chris Bradley - Owner, The Stonefly Fly Shop
“We opened a Jiffy Lube in Butte at a time when we were operationally ready for the challenge, but were struggling to find conventional financing. BLDC did a great job of educating us on the options, reviewing our business plan with us and helping us make decisions that yielded a great start-up that was on-time, on-budget and a great improvement over what the property had looked like prior to us taking occupancy. I really felt like BLDC approached our arrival in Butte as a win-win for us and the community. While we are very much a small business, BLDC handled our deal with professionalism and respect for our endeavor. I hope we can find ways to do more work in Butte.” Briggs Anderson - Owner, Jiffy Lube
We invite you to become a champion of change in our community by joining the BLDC membership. Your membership represents a commitment to enhancing the future of our business community, neighborhoods, and quality of life.
