GATHERING TOGETHER
WELCOME & ANNOUNCEMENTS SHARING JOYS AND CONCERNS PRELUDE CALL TO WORSHIP: from Psalm 18:1-3 Liz Herrick
Leader: I love you, O LORD, my strength. People: The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, Leader: My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, People: My shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. All: I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised...
* GATHERING SONG: I Will Call Upon the Lord
I will call upon the Lord Who is worthy to be praised So shall I be saved from my enemies I will call upon the Lord The Lord liveth and blessed be the Rock And let the God of my salvation be exalted
* PRAYER OF CONFESSION: (unison) Liz Herrick
Our Heavenly Father, we lower our heads before you, and we confess that we often forget we are yours. We go about our lives as if you are not there. We fall short of living as a credible witness to your grace. For these things we ask your forgiveness. Clear our minds to think your thoughts, open our hearts to love as you love, strengthen our hands that we would serve as you serve. Trusting your promise of mercy, we confess to you...
SILENTCONFESSION ASSURANCE OF PARDON
* GREETING ONE ANOTHER: Leader: May the peace of Christ be with you.
People: And also with you. * CONGREGATIONAL RESPONSE: Sanctuary
Lord, prepare me to be a sanctuary, pure and holy, tried and true. With thanksgiving, I’ll be a living sanctuary for you.
