EVALUATION OF THE PROJECT - PLUSES It was a possibility to meet colleagues and
students from different countries, exchange information, communicate
For students – a real and practical situation for language use that stimulates and motivates to study English
To widen our horizon and get rich information about different cultures
EVALUATION OF THE PROJECT - PLUSES A lot of useful information – materials, photos,
videos, that can be used in the learning process in teaching different subject
Compare different educational systems, questions related to education in different European countries
All meetings were very well organised – it was a possibility not only to work hard but do some sightseeeing and get known with different cuisine
EVALUATION OF THE PROJECT - MINUSESToo many countries – it is impossible to
attend all the meetings for our school because:
Not all teachers communicate in English
We have to work at school, too!
It is not a good idea to send to the meetings different people if they are not really involved in the whole project work at their schools, because they cannot give any information related to the next meetings etc.
EVALUATION OF THE PROJECT - MINUSES The themes of the meetings in each country were not
very clear, each time we had a meeting we disscussed what exactly do we have to do for the next meeting. If you did not attend any meeting sometimes it was really a big problem to make the next presentation.
The order of the themes for each meeting was not very successful – to our mind, we had to start with the education systems but we finished with this theme. As our school has got 5 folk dance groups it would be better to organise a meeting related to folk dances in Latvia not Romania.
EVALUATION OF THE PROJECT - MINUSES As the themes were not very clear it was quite
difficult to involve our students into the project work – we plan our work for the following school year in August and we had to follow the National Standarts and Curriculum. If we know the tasks for the presentation just a month or two before the meeting, it is almost impossible to include them into the learning process.
Too different schools – it was a big problem to organise students’ mobilities as we planned when we applied.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THE ATTENTION!
Paldies liels par uzmanību!
