WCOWMA-BC Presents:
2019 TRADE SHOW
• building relationships: with the industry, with the regulatory body, with the general public
MARCH 15, 2019 • NANAIMO, BC•
VANCOUVER ISLAND CONFERENCE CENTRE
welcome WE INVITE YOU TO JOIN US FOR OUR 9TH
ANNUAL TRADE SHOW AT THE VANCOUVER
ISLAND CONFERENCE CENTRE IN NANAIMO, BC
This year’s theme focusses on building relationships: with the industry, the regulatory body and the general
public. Positive communication and relationships within the industry and with those connected to it are
paramount not only to our individual success but to successful protection of public health and the environment
through the design, installation and maintenance of onsite wastewater systems.
The 2019 Trade Show takes place on Friday, March 15th, during the course of the annual convention. Delegates to
the convention will participate in presentations and training sessions on March 14 and 16, between which they
have the opportunity to attend the trade show and its attendant technical sessions on March 15.
The WCOWMA-BC Convention and Trade Show has shown steady growth in both exhibitor participation and
delegate attendance each year. This year’s venue will be a table top and floor model show. Exhibitors will be able
to bring in tabletop displays along with mid-to-large size floor displays. Exhibitors are invited to provide technical
presentations on their products in scheduled 30 minute segments throughout this event. Meal and refreshment
stations will be set up in the trade show hall to allow for maximum exposure and networking opportunities.
We look forward to working with you, our supplier and manufacturer base, towards a successful trade show!

BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS
NETWORKING: ONE OF THE BIGGEST VALUES GARNERED FROM A CONVENTION AND TRADE SHOW
IS THE OPPORTUNITY TO NETWORK WITH THE PEOPLE IN YOUR INDUSTRY.
• Take advantage of the opportunity to discuss industry issues, challenges and solutions.
• Visit the trade show and see the latest products and services available to the onsite wastewater
industry.
• Participate in the technical and educational sessions.
insurance information for exhibitors
The primary purpose of a certificate of insurance is to confirm evidence of existing insurance coverage on behalf
of the policy holder to ensure the WCOWMA Onsite Wastewater Management Association of BC (WCOWMA-BC)
is fully protected in the event of any bodily injury and/or property damage claim arising out of the operations of
the policy holder.
All Licensees must provide the WCOWMA-BC confirmation of Comprehensive General Liability and Non-Owned
Automobile Insurance coverage in the form of a Certificate of Insurance. This Certificate must be addressed to the
WCOWMA-BC and contain the following information:
Complete name and address of the organization (insured) for which the insurance has been arranged.
Type of insurance provided under the Certificate of Insurance and full name of the insurer providing such
coverage. Policy number and effective dates of coverage including move-in and move-out for the 2019 Trade
Show on March 14-16, 2019.
Limits of liability of not less than $2,000,000.00 inclusive for bodily injury and/or property damage and
non-owned automobile liability insurance.
The WCOWMA-BC must be added as additional named insured with respect to any liability out of the operations
of the named insured. The Certificate of Insurance must also state that the named insured will provide the
WCOWMA-BC with thirty (30) days advance written notice of any policy cancellation and/or material change. The
Certificate of Insurance must be dated and signed by an officer or authorized representative of the insurer.

entertainment
Damien James is formally trained in Ventriloquism, Magic, and
Special Effects Makeup, and has performed throughout Canada.
He is an International Champion Ventriloquist who has been
performing professionally for more than 20 years.
Damien has been performing professionally for 20 years (since the
age of 12). His interest in magic started when he was six after his
mother bought him a simple Magic Book. Later that same year,
Damien received a Tommy Talker (pull-string dummy) from the
Sears Christmas catalogue… a present his parents (we mean Santa
Claus) regret to this day! Damien is a graduate of The
Maher School of Ventriloquism and was the youngest person
ever to win the coveted ‘Ventriloquist of the Year’ Award at The
Magic Capitol of the World Convention.
Damien creates all of his new characters in his spare time and also works as a special effects artist for film and TV.
He is a current student of Academy Award-Winning Special Effects guru, Dick Smith and his behind the scenes
work can be seen on many TV shows as well as several features on the big screen.
Damien James is the only ventriloquist to fool Penn & Teller!
delegate bag items
We invite all Trade Show exhibitors to include something in our delegate bags. Each person who attends the show
receives a delegate bag. Enclosed within is an array of marketing items. These can range from business cards to
flyers, and even branded merchandise. This is an excellent way to ensure that all delegates take home your
company’s information and maybe something more. People love free stuff and including something in our bags
ensures that all delegates know who you are, even if they miss your booth. Some examples of suitable items are
listed below.
Those planning to participate should ensure they provide no fewer than 250 pieces of their enclosure.
Let us put your swag in the delegate bag!
