His story, unfortunately, is not unique.Cilincing is just one of many communities inJakarta, Indonesia, where families live on justa few dollars a day in poor living conditionsand children are often made to work for littlereward rather than finish school.

Wawan, though, is forging a new path for himself as he dives head first intothe world of circus in a foreign country.

While touring circus schools in the United States and Canada, Wawan will beworking with a string of adept circus instructors who have volunteered theirown time and resources to make sure that juggling, acrobatics, trampolineand trapeze are at the center of Wawans world for the next four months.

Upon returning to Jakarta, Wawan will have earned a host of new circus skillsand techniques that the Red Nose Foundation will be excited to see him sharewith his fellow circus students and the wider community.
