    When you operate your Yamaha WaterVehicle, you must know and practice thefollowing for your safety:8 Before operating the water vehicle, read

    this entire manual, the Riding PracticeTips, the Riding Instruction card and allwarning labels on the water vehicle.Reading these materials should giveyou an understanding of the vehicleand its operation.Never allow anyone to operate thiswater vehicle until they too have readthis Owners Manual, the Riding Prac-tice Tips, the Riding Instruction cardand all warning labels.8 This product emits exhaust gases which

    contain carbon monoxide, a colorless,odorless gas which may cause braindamage or death when inhaled. Symp-toms include nausea, dizziness, anddrowsiness. Operate the vehicle in anopen area.

    LIMITATIONS ON WHO MAYOPERATE THE VEHICLEEJX10010

    8 This vehicle is recommended only foroperators 16 and older with a validmotor vehicle license.Even though a motor vehicle operatorslicense is not required for water vehicleoperation in most states, it is one indi-cator that the operator has previouslydemonstrated a reasonable degree ofmaturity, responsibility, and good judg-ment.

    A responsible adult must superviseoperation of this vehicle by minors.Many states have minimum age andeducation requirements. Always checkstates and all applicable local boatinglaws that apply to you before you oper-ate the water vehicle.

    8 Your water vehicle is designed to carrythe operator and only one passenger,as long as the total weight does notexceed the maximum load capacity.

    ATTENTION:Maximum vehicle load capacity: 160 kg(353 lb)Includes weight of operator, passenger,and any cargo.

    8 Do not try to ride with a passenger untilyou have considerable practice ridingalone. Operating with a passengerrequires more skill. Take the time tobecome accustomed to the handlingcharacteristics of the vehicle with a pas-senger before trying any difficultmaneuvers.

    8 Do not jump boat wakes or followanother boat or watercraft too closely.You increase your risk of colliding withanother boat, which could result insevere injury or death. Do not jumpwaves, wakes, or any objects. You risksevere impact injuries. Jumping canalso cause damage to the water vehicle.

    8 Do not operate the vehicle in roughwater, bad weather or when visibility ispoor; this may lead to an accident caus-ing injury or death. Be alert to the possi-bility of adverse weather. Take note ofweather forecasts and the prevailingweather conditions before setting outon your water vehicle.

    8 As with any water sport, you should notride your water vehicle without some-one else near by. If you ride further thanswimming distance from shore, youshould be accompanied by anotherboat or watercraft. Its good, commonsense!

    8 Never ride in water that is less than 60cm ( 2 feet ) deep. You increase yourchance of hitting an underwater obsta-cle. You could be injured.

    8 Do not operate water vehicle after sun-set or before dawn. It is not equippedwith lighting required for night opera-tion. You risk collision with anotherboat which could cause injury or death.

    8 The maximum performance potential ofthis watercraft is not suitable for all con-ditions. Consider water conditions,weather, boat traffic and other potentialobstacles, speed limits and other locallaws, and your abilities before attempt-ing to travel at higher speeds. Operatethe watercraft no faster than justified bythese conditions.
