Welcome! As we start a new year of Classical Conversations of Wauchula, it is our prayer that our time together proves to strengtheoth education and character. As a community, we must strive to encourage and affirm each other, build each other up and serve onnother humbly. Our overarching goal is “To know God and make Him known.”
A. DAILY SCHEDULE8:30 - Director Arrives8:30 - 9:00 - Directors and Tutors: Prepare rooms.9:00 – 9:10 - Directors and Tutors: Meet for group prayer.9:15 - 9:30 - Morning Assembly9:30 – Noon - Foundations- class time12:00-1:00 - Lunch Break & Play/Clean up
B.
ORAL PRESENTATIONS
a. Presentations are a signature portion of the Foundations program. The focus is on the skills needed to present a toof choice. This will begin on week 1, and all students will participate. This can be show and tell for younger kids bugoal is to gain mastery and comfort with presenting. They will be able to present a more informational or instructio
presentation over time. We do not believe in asking our children to do things we will not try as well. Because of thiask families to present a short 4-5 minute Family Presentation during Opening Assembly time. The presentation caa devotional, a trip or activity, a skit, etc. Because of issues in the past throughout the U.S., there will no longer be a
presentations of other companies or ministries (Operation Christmas Child, Salvation Army etc).
C. CAMPUS/FACILITY
a.
Stewardship of the facility and smooth execution of the CC program are important goals for us. Please remember ware guests at Faith Presbyterian Church. We are called to treat our host facility with care and consideration. Workintogether, we can show our appreciation and manage our program to the benefit of all. Please be on time and help oto be on time.
b.
No running in facility at any time.
c. Please label all personal items: i.e. lunch boxes, thermoses, sip cups, etc. There will be a lost and found for all labeleitems left behind. Any items without a name will be discarded.
D. ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION USEa. Laptops, IPods, MP3, DS, or any other electronic devices are not allowed on campus. No cell phones are to be use
during class hours, including texting (unless receiving an SOS message from childcare).
E.
DRESS CODEa. Dress should be modest. Overall in a way that honors our Father in heaven. That means dressing to please Him an
make others comfortable around us. We are to honor the body of Christ and not our personal desires.
b. A good rule of thumb is that shorts fall at or below your fingertips, straps are three fingers wide. Any dress code is will be handled according to our discipline policy.
F.
WEAPONS
a. No student or nonstudent, including adults and visitors, shall possess, use or distribute a weapon when on campusb. A “weapon” means any object, device or instrument designed as a weapon or through its use is capable of threaten
or producing bodily harm or which may be used to inflict self-injury including, but not limited to, any firearm, wheloaded or unloaded; air guns; pellet guns; BB guns; all knives; blades; clubs; metal knuckles; nunchucks; throwing s
explosives; fireworks; mace and other propellants; stun guns; ammunition; poisons; chains; arrows; and objects thahave been modified to serve as a weapon.
G. SICK CHILDa. Please keep children off campus if they are or have been experiencing any of these symptoms within 24 hours prio
the beginning of class. Fever above 100 degrees Fahrenheit, and looks and acts ill, uncontrolled coughing, difficultybreathing, wheezing, persistent crying, or lethargy, diarrhea, vomiting or any sort of rash, especially when accompaby a fever or behavior change. If you have a sick child that stays home, the whole family must stay at home. Pleasenot bring siblings in the Foundation program when the parent will not be able to be there. While having a sick chil
