I. TECHNICAL OFFER FOR TWO-PHASE FIRST STAGE SEPARATOR

1.0 INTRODUCTION

We are proud to have developed superior experience over the years in design,

engineering and fabrication of process system packages. In addition to building plants

from concept stage, we are involved in providing engineering services for projects

involving de-bottlenecking, capacity increase, adequacy checks for existing units

requiring new process conditions, and recommending optimum design for various oil

and gas applications.

The major areas wherein we operate in the oil and gas upstream are;

Engineering services

Multiphase separation systems

Gas Dehydration systems

H2S and CO2 Removal

Oil conditioning and Dehydration

Debottlenecking

2.0 PROCESS DESCRIPTION

Separators are used in the oil and gas industry to split feed streams into individual

phases of liquid and gas. The phase separation is required for measuring production

rates and to prepare the hydrocarbons and water streams for further processing and

transportation. Three phase separators are utilized to split the feed streams into gas

and liquid streams.

The process fluid flows into the two phase Vertical separator; where it splits into Gas

and Liquid. At the inlet of separator, the fluid momentum is controlled with an inlet

diverter that provides bulk gas/liquid separation. The Inlet Diverter and other internals

such as Mist Extractor, Vortex Breakers are provided to improve the separation

efficiency. The entrained liquid particles get collected in the Mist Extractor provided at

the top of the vessel. The Vortex Breaker is provided at the liquid outlet to prevent the

entrapment of gas in to the liquid. The sufficient residence time is provided for

separation of each of the phases. The liquid level in the vessel and the removal of liquid

at the bottom is controlled by liquid level controls that will keep the mixture in the vessel

long enough for complete separation of each of the phases. A Safety relief valve is

provided for safe operation.

3.0 OPERATING CONDITIONS

The following process conditions are considered for the basic design of the Two Phase

Vertical Separator.

Sour service is considered for the equipment.

Parameters V-100 Unit
