Our developments…

• Database porting from SQLserver to MySQL

• Migration from Windows to Linux

• Activation of WFS to register into GEO-DAB broker

• Implementation of a prototypal architecture in ARPA local network: it will be installed as a production system at the premises of ISPRA in Rome and all available regional water data will be online.

Discussion issues

• WaterML2 encoding should be native and not XLST• Hydromap could be based upon

OpenGeo and GeoServer• WFS service could be replaced by

other services like OpenSeach• The developed tools could be made available through

HOMS (Hydrological Operational Multipurpose System) established by the WMO

• The proposed architecture should support the activities in the program of CHy-14 - Theme Area 2 - Data Operations and Management
