WATCH THE THRONE

Magazine Proposal The name of my music magazine is called “WATCH THE THRONE” but I

will only place the initials “WTT” on the front cover because it is too longto fit in the front cover.

The reason why I chose WTT as the name of my music magazine becausein the music industry its all about who is the best and most establishedartists but no matter who's the best there's always someone better that cantake that artists place in the music industry. That’s why you really have towatch your place in the throne (The top of the music industry) if you’re thebest, and my magazine will be all about these new artists (new comersfrom YouTube) that have the possibility to take this fictional throne.

My chose genres are hip hop/grime and rap music. Hip hop is separatedinto many different styles and grime is one of them. The reason why Ichose grime is because it was created in East London (Bow) in the early2000’s, and I can relate to this because I grew up In this area and I knowsome people who actually make their own grime music.

I also wanted to have some rapper on my artists to make my musicmagazine have a more street look to it and that’s exactly what will attractmy intended audience.

Magazine Proposal My feature article witch will be on a DPS will be about a very popular Asian

rapper who was a new comer but now he is very established due to theadvance in social networking sites such as Facebook and YouTube. Thisrapper is an Asian guy who will be will be pretending to be a fictionalrapper called Dj Ibzzy (because his name is Ibrahim and I my nickname forhim is Ibzzy). He will be wearing a snapback, a colourful hoodie with a verylarge chain on and he will also jeans and bright blue trainers. Thesepictures will be taken at the photography studio.

Another guy I know who will be pretending to be a rapper will be doinglocation pictures with me be the football pitch and he will be playing therole of a footballer who isn’t getting much money and popularity fromfootball so he quit his role as a striker to be a rapper. He will be wearing ahoodie and a snapback and very bright white trainers.

What makes my music magazine different is the regulars that I am going tohave. For example I will have a regular article called “Twitter Responses”and every time a new article comes out I will interview an artist and gothrough their fans tweets for them to answer. I will also have an articlecalled “YouTube's Top Raps” and this will include new comer’s raps onYouTube that have some potential and it will have their channels name onthis article for the readers to listen to later on

Magazine Proposal Master head has to be big and bold while looking as

professional as possible. Like NME’s on and Billboards.

The master head will be a very dark red colour to match

with my colour scheme which is Dark Red, Black and

White/Grey. The lettering has to be very clear and professional (like the

font “Arial”) and that means no shadow effects of othertacky stuff like that, but I will make sure that the font isboring and dull.

Magazine Proposal My magazine publisher will be IPC

because IPC is an international publishing corporation that publish music magazines like NME, Mouse Breaker, Nuts and Uncut.

IPC is a very established and well know company because it was founded a long time ago, and also because of the large amount of magazines, books and newspapers they publish. The screen shot on the top right corner, shows all the sports and leisure magazines IPC publish and people that are interested in sports and leisure are a part of my target audience.

If I were to have IPC as a publisher I could get lots of readers from around the world because IPC is a well known international publishing company with lots of potential readers for WTT.

Magazine ProposalMy Target Audience

My target audience is mostly men at the average age of 24 years old.This is because I wouldn’t really expect females to be reading a verystreet-like magazine with a hip hop genre and this is because their isn’tthat many females that are working in this genre. (The reason why Ichose 24 years old men as my target audience is because most men thatage are most likely to be employed and will be able to afford buying mymagazine all the time. NME average aged readers are 24years old too).

The percentage of male to females that will be reading my musicmagazine will be 70%Male and 30%Female. NME has a 69% Male and29% female fan base. (That’s the main reason why I chose a mostlymale audience for WTT).

My target audience has to be in the ABC1 class so that they have enougheconomic stability to be able to carry on purchasing my magazine.

• Model- an Asian rapper with a funny looking beard and he will be wearing a sunglasses, a snapback, probably some chains and a hoodie which will be under a body warmer.

• Location of the shots are all going to be taken in the

studio but this can change depending on the situation.

• The full body picture of “2Chainz” represents the full body photo of my model that I will be using for my content page. This picture will be of my model (Asian Rapper) standing backwards while twisting his body to face the camera.

• The picture of the footballer represents the photo that I will take of another one of my models who is playing the role of a footballer who wants to quit his job to join the music industry (a new comer).

• The final picture on the bottom is of a skate park that’s going to hold a hip-hop/rap concert in and I will write an article about it.
