Dawg Bites - Team Since the Pac-10 formed in 1979, Washington has finished 9-9 in Conference action twice previously. UWfinished the 1996 and 1980 seasons .500 in league action and went to the NIT tournament both years. This year a Conference record four teams finished 9-9 in Pac-12 play. Since 1979, Conference teams havepreviously finished .500 21 times. Only three of those teams went on to the NCAA tournament and 11 wouldgo on to the NIT. UCLAs win over Washington on Saturday snapped an 8-game home win streak by the Huskies over theBruins. The streak equaled the longest ever by a UCLA opponent on that teams home court. Historically, the Huskies have finished strong in the last four regular-season conference games during the
Romar era. Over the last five seasons they have a combined record of 16-4 down the home stretch, twice going4-0 and 3-1 and going 2-2 once. In fact in 11 years under Romar, UW has only finished under .500 once in thefinal four game (2008) and is 32-12 (.727) overall. Washington had not been swept in a two-game regular season series by a Pac-12 team since USC in 2010and had not been swept by two schools in the same season since 2007 when Arizona and Washington Statepulled it off. This year, Arizona, Oregon and UCLA swept the Huskies. The last time UW was swept by threePac-12 teams was 2003 when ASU, Ariz, Cal, UCLA and OSU all swept the Huskies. UWs 11-7 home record is unusual in that the loss total is more than the combined last three seasons whenthey went 49-6 at Alaska Airlines Arena. The seven home losses under Romar equals 2008 (12-7) & 2003 (8-7) The Huskies were 5-4 at home in Pac-12 play. Only twice previously under Romar have the Huskies droppedmore than two home games -- 2003 and 2008 when they dropped five during conference action. The Huskies have scored under 60 points seven times this season. The last time they had done that as manytimes was in 2000. UW entered this year having won 20-plus games in a school record 4-straight years -- which is the longes
active streak in the conference. The Huskies have 20+ wins in six of Lorenzo Romars previous 10 seasons UW is 5-6 in true road games, 1-1 in neutral site games. The Huskies average 66.5 ppg away from AlaskaAirlines Arena; their opponents 66.8. It marked the seventh time in 11 seasons under Romar that the Huskiehave won five road games. UW is 12-1 when shooting above 70% from the free throw line, but 5-13 when under 70%. Also, UW is 13-3when shooting more free throws than its opponent. Getting off to a good start is imperative for the Huskies. They are 12-3 when leading at halftime, 2-1 whentied and 3-10 when trailing. UW leads the Pac-12 with 13.2 offensive rebounds per game but conversely, the Huskies are 11th with 23.4defensive rebounds per game. Perhaps the correlating stat is that UW is 11th in the conference in field goaPCT defense at .431. The Huskies are giving up 66.2 ppg which ranks 10th overall among league teams but would be UWs besmark since the 2000 team allowed 65.1 ppg. The previous low watermark in Romars tenure is 69.5 in 2009.

2012-13 Husky Basketball
a2012-13 Washington Mens Basketball Husky Notes
UW Leads Division I With Most All-Time Wins At Their Home ArenaWashington has
932 wins inside of Hec Edmundson Pavilion, the most by any Division I team at its cur-
rent home arena. The Huskies started playing in their arena on Dec. 27, 1927 and have amassed 100 morevictories than No. 2 on the list, Pennsylvania.
Friendly Confines Of HomeLosing at Alaska Airlines Arena in Hec Edmundson Pavilion is rare under coach Lorenzo Romars watch. In11 years with Romar at the helm, UW is 158-35 (.819) overall at home, 82-9 (.901) in non-conferencegames.The Huskies won a school record 32 straight non-conference games at Alaska Airlines Arena, datingback to a 72-71 home loss on March 14, 2008 in the College Basketball Invitational to Valparaiso, before SouthDakota State beat them on Dec. 18, 2011.
Pac-12) rally from a four-point deficit with 5 minutesremaining. He took over when the Bruins needed theirfreshman to be a star. Jordan Adams added 17 pointsand Travis Wear had 10 for the Bruins, who avoided
being swept in the state of Washington for the firsttime since 1993. Scott Suggs had 14 points, but Wash-ington (17-14, 9-9 leading scorer C.J. Wilcox was just3 of 13 shooting for eight points.
Wilcox Named 2nd Team All-Pac-12C.J. Wilcox, who was honorable mention in 2012 as asophomore and was a member of the 2011 All-Fresh-man team, was named 2nd Team All-Pac-12. He ledUW in scoring, minutes played and 3-point makes. Thejunior was also second in blocks and third in assists. His 16.8 points per game ranked sixth in the Pac-12and his 2.1 3-point makes per game was third. ThePleasant Grove, Utah native also ranked 7th in the con-ference averaging 34.7 minutes per game, 12th with
1.1 blocks and 8th in free throw percentage (.804). Wil-cox also made his mark in UW single season history. He scored 20 or more points 13 times - tying for ninthin UW history. Wilcox is the 16th Husky to earn first-or second-team all-conference honors during LorenzoRomars 11 years as Washington head coach.
Nate Rob Joins Pac-12 Hall Of HonorNate Robinson is the 2012-13 Washington representa-tive in the Pac-12 Conference Mens Basketball Hallof Honor. The induction will occur on Saturday, March16, during a ceremony prior to the championship Gameat the 2013 Pac-12 Mens Basketball Tournament heldat the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nev.
Robinson ranks 23rd on the UWs all-time scoring listwith 1,283 points (14.4 ppg) despite playing just threeyears. He also ranks in UWs top-five career list forsteals. He helped UW to its most successful seasonever that saw them earn its first No. 1 NCAA see.
Senior DayThe Huskies honored three players and manager NickMatranga as part of senior day ceremonies on Satur-day. Abdul Gaddy, Aziz NDiaye and Scott Suggsplayed in their last regular season game at AlaskaAirlines Arena. Each player has been part of their fairshare of winning during their careers; the team is 77-
38 (.670) in games played by Gaddy, Suggs is 77-35(.688) and NDiaye is 64-35 (.646). Each has been oneither a conference regular season or tournamentchampion every year of their careers.
Odd But True Tidbits The Huskies have won eight of nine games at onepoint during the season, but also lost eight of ninegame during one stretch. The only other time in UWhistory this has happened was 1945. UW rarely loses when they keep opponents under60 points. In Lorenzo Romars 11-year tenure at UW,the Huskies have lost just six games when allowingunder 60 points. This year the Huskies have lost twicewhen allowing opponents to score in the 50s (Arizona,@UCLA). The only other time it happened twice in thesame season was 2003 -- Romars first year. For the first time in UWs history they lost 4-straightleague games after winning the previous four con-
tests. They have done the streak in reverse before, winning 5-straight Pac-10 games in 2004 after startingwith 5-straight losses. The Dawgs came into the Utah game allowing Pac-12 opponents to shoot .374 from the field. The Utesshot 60.4%, the highest FG% vs. the Huskies sinceArizona shot 65.3% on Jan. 4, 2007. The Huskies started Conference play 4-0 for the 2ndtime in Lorenzo Romars 11 seasons - also 2011 - andjust the 4th times in the last 35 years. The Huskies went down to the Bay Area and earnedtheir first road sweep of Cal and Stanford since 1985. Since Washingtons first season in 1896, this yearmarked the sixth time that UW opened conference play
with three road games (1911, 1912, 1943, 1993 and1999) and the first times since 1912 they only won allthree.
Three-Point ProwessThe Huskies have a pair of long-range bombers thatare assaulting the Huskies record books. C.J. Wilcoxis steadily climbing the UW three-point charts and isup to third all-time in UW history with 202. Next up isDeon Luton with 212. Scott Suggs is on the all-timelist too and is 6th with 136. When it comes to accuracy, both are in the top-10 percentage-wise also.

Through two seasons onthe football field he owns Washingtons career tight-endmarks with 110 catches, 1,388 yards receiving, and 13touchdown catches
Wilcox Diversifying His GameEveryone knows C.J. Wilcox can shoot from the out-side. Entering the season, statistically speaking, it waseasy to tell he prefered to fire away from outside the
3-point line. Entering the year, 56% of his field goalmakes came from behind the 3-point arc, while 61%of his FG attempts were 3-pointers. He has diversifiedhis game this year, according to the stats. So far in hisjunior season, of Wilcoxs field goal makes, just 35.9%have come from beyond 3-point range and 42.6% of hisattempts are 3-pointers. The Huskies capped their foreign tour this summer byspending three day in Dakar, Senegal. While in Africa, the team had a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Dakar, the capital of Senegal, is home to senior Aziz NDiaye.
He returned home for the first time in two years andserved as host, ambassador and translator during thetrip. The team started their Africa leg with a visit tothe Bandia Animal Reserve, followed by a stop at theSEEDS Academy, where NDiaye got his basketballstart. NDiaye led the Huskies as they ran a clinic forthe younger members of the academy. The next daythe team joined NDiaye on a visit to his home wherethey saw the home in which NDiaye grew up. His momcooked NDiayes favorite meal -- fish and rice -- forthe whole team. Later that evening the Huskies werescheduled to play Dakar University, but a severe rain-storm flooded the court and made the venue unplay-able. On the final day, the team visited Goree Island, aslave-trading post that served as the last stop for mil-lions of African slaves before they were shipped off toEurope and the Americas.
