Are you cleaning in a Scientific Way?

• Is the chemistry of your detergents formulated to remove the proper soils?

• Do you have soft water? • Does your vehicle wash work properly?• Does your detergent remove road salts?• Are you getting your detergent to the right place to remove

the soils?• Do you have sufficient water volume and pressure to

remove the soils?• Are you using an underbody flush? • Does your cleaning process help or hinder corrosion control

efforts?

Common Corrosion Control Focus in the Transit Industry

• Focus on Repair rather than Prevention• Preventive Measures focus on initial purchase, i.e. Stainless Steel Frames

• Vehicle cleaning process is focused on cosmetic cleaning

• No equipment or procedures to remove chlorides from vehicles in wash process

What you need for underbody flush

• If your underbody flush looks like a water fountain, it does not work.

•Requires a volume of 50 gallons per bus

•Requires a pressure of 200-300 psi

Equipment in General

•Does it work?• Is there sufficient water pressure to remove road soils?

• Is there sufficient water volume?• Is there sufficient dwell time for your soaps?

WHAT DOES IT COST?

What does it cost to clean vehicles properly?

A western state metro transit company has been using Fleet Vision Hi Foam for two years in a friction wash and underbody flush. This organization washes over 100 vehicles per day. Consumption is approximately 5 ozs. of product per bus per day or about 0.50 $/bus per day. This organization has exceptionally clean buses and lower maintenance costs
