Celebración de Actividad de la Puertorriqueñidad
Fecha: 18 de noviembre de 2014
Lugar: Centro de Bellas Artes de Juana Díaz
Hora: 9:00 am
Estimados padres:
siguiente manera:
Ritmo y Baile - Pre-kinder, Kinder y Primer grado
Instrumentos Musicales - Segundo grado
Vestimenta - Tercero y Cuarto grado

Librarian --Pk – 12TH Grades
Greetings parents:
It’s a pleasure to communicate with you once again. Our library is again on the go, this means
that students are able to check out books more often. “Our library is a live one.”
I am very proud to say that my students love the library and that they love to read. Students are motivated to read and become Readers of the Month. To participate they need to hand in Book
Reports for each book they read, in this way I select the ones that read the most. Each month a
first, second and third place is selected from each group. At the end of each semester these
winners are given a” Pizza Party”.
Also during this school -year there will be a Library Club in which students join in and help out
with the library chores, such as preparing books to be checked out, shelving books, taking
attendance and decorating the library for the different holidays of each month. They are
fascinated with the idea that they will part of this.
Once again thanks, your support is very important!!!

Mrs. Detrés - Pre-kinder Teacher
Greetings to all Washburn Family,
Thank you parents for visiting our school and being part of your child's education. Remember we
are a team.
Please review your child's work every day and don't forget to sign every page. This week we will
still be discussing different Professions and their contribution to our community. We will be able
to dramatize these professions.
In Math we will be counting to 50, but tracing and forming units of 6.
In English Class we are still visiting and learning about the zoo. Each of us has a Favorite
animal. Mine is the giraffe with its long neck.
Have an excellent week!!!

Comments Students will have daily homework, it is important to verify your child’s
book bag every day.
This Friday’s Show & Tell is about the Vowel Ii. Remember to bring an
object that begins with the letter of the week and say at least 3 sentences.
LET YOUR CHILD COME UP WITH THE SENTENCES.
I highly recommend reviewing, spelling and reading all the High-Frequency
Words learned up until the moment every time you can. As well as the letters
learned in the ENGLISH CLASS.
It is recommended to read to your child at least 10-15 minutes daily, let’s
help them become great readers!
www.starfall.com is a great and fun page where children can reinforce
reading.
