For domestic parcels, Swiss Post is liable for loss, damage or inappropriate delivery up to CHF 500.00.For tips on packaging and addressing your consignments correctly, go to swisspost.ch/tips-for-sending-mailAll parcels must include appropriate valid postage. Forwarded and returned ship-ments are treated as new consignments.

A price reduction of CHF 1.50 (incl. VAT) versus published list prices applies for return parcels (Priority or Economy) with pre-printed labels (consignment barcodes beginning with 99.01) to mail order companies.

A document is defined as anything written or otherwise committed to paper (printed, copied, typewritten or written by hand) that does not have a commercial value and that weighs no more than 2 kg. Media such as CD-ROMs, USB sticks, etc., are classified as URGENT goods.

Customs formalities

MiniPac InternationalFor consignments of up to 2 kg contain-ing goods whose value does not exceed CHF 700.00, it is sufficient to use the green customs label. For consignments where the value of the goods has not been stated (e.g. a gift), a customs declaration must be used instead of the green customs label.

PostPac International and URGENT consignmentsAll consignments must be accompanied by a waybill. The maximum weight for PostPac International is 30 kg, or 20 kg for some countries. The maximum weight for URGENT goods is 30 kg, or 2 kg for URGENT documents.
